I love the sing-songiness of 3 and 3. I think Louisa is a lovely name!

    What about Evelyn?

Louisa with your last name is fine.

As for compromise, I would take your husbands list - ask for his top 10 - and start playing around with combos, variations, and nn options that you love.

For example, he likes Elizabeth and you don't want to use that. You also indicated your don't like nicknames. So what about Liza, Lisa, or Beth? All work well with Claire.

If he likes Emma, would you like Ella or Elle?

Since you like Norah with the H - would Hannah work for both of you?

    Thanks for everyone's input.
My DH is being so wishy washy with his names.
He is suggesting all sorts of names but nothing I can really see us using. He suggested Monica yesterday as well as Angelina.
I wish we could find something we both love. Looks like we would be lucky to find something we both like.

I'm in a similar situation, we took the pressure off and I asked him to sit with my choices for a week and he came around. I'm trying to do the same. Our styles are different - I'm visual and need the name to look beautiful on paper where as he doesn't care about that. PS I love Louisa. What about if there is a name you both like the nn of?
