I really like both, but I lean more towards May.

I like them both, but prefer Mae. May is a month and a question, "May I have some more, please?" Mae is a name and nothing else.

I prefer May as it's the traditional spelling and it invokes the month for me, which reminds me of flowers, fresh cut grass, spring BBQ's, bonfires - that kind of thing.

To me, May looks overused, mainly from being a month name, and Mae looks very cutesy, like a person's name.
Funny you should say that, considering May isn't even in the top 2000 and Mae was 803 in 2011.

I voted for May, but I don't really have much of a preference between May and Mae. It depends on what it's being paired with. Mei is my favorite spelling for "may".
    nineteen & renaming myself soon
