    Layla or Leila

Which spelling do you prefer? What middle names would you pair it with?

    Layla, definitely.

I know a Leila and Leilani, who say their name LEE-luh and lee-LAWN-ee. Although neither are correct (the 'ei' in Hawaiian makes the 'ay' sound), this spelling would cause a lot of confusion.

Layla, Layla, Layla! That spelling gives me a more floral vibe, like something straight out of a garden. Very feminine and pretty.

I know a girl named Leila, but pronounces it "LIE-la".
