Thread: Jeriah

Does Jeriah sound feminine or unisex if you didn't know the gender already (or even if you did)? What are your first thoughts. Pronounced: Juh-RI-ah or Jer-I-ah

I think it sounds a little feminine.

It sounds like you've missed a bit out of Jeremiah, which is a boy name.

This reminds me of Jiraiya. I'm not really an expert on Japanese but I believe its pronounced Jir-EYE-uh. He's a pretty well known character from Japanese folklore and is also in the anime series "Naruto." I wouldn't use it myself and don't know how weird it would be, but because of this association it reads all boy to me.
Mom to Henry, Mollie, Gideon, and expecting Clark Ebenezer in November.

Jeriah sounds masculine to me, similar to Jeremiah and Jeremy.
