Thread: Ah, Jacob....

    I've never considered either name religious. But, the fact that they are Biblical does appeal to my husband. They've both been used a lot through time and have many other associations so I don't think that people go straight to religion when hearing them.

    I know one Jacob who is about 18, that's it. I don't think it's popular were I live and I have always loved it. Gabrielle and Jacob would be a lovely sib-set.

    I really don't know very many Jacobs of any age. I think it may be a regional thing, or maybe the top boy's names are more evenly divided. There aren't really many alternate spellings (Jakob is the only one I've actually seen used) so that may be part of it.

    I like Jacob. A lot. Popularity is not a factor for me. Jacob is classic.
