    I think Calla is just fine on its own. I love it as a nickname for Caroline, too.

    I worked at a school for visually impaired children, and there was a little girl there named Calla, she's the sweetest girl I've ever met, and it's really made me fall for this name Her name was Calla Grace, if that helps

    I think it is really perfect. Sweet, organic, simple, and elegant. Not out there at all.

    I don't think Calla is contrived at all, and I don't think it is "out there". I prefer it over Lily!

    I really like Calla, and don't find it contrived at all. My hesitation is that it might be mistaken for Kayla, Kaylie, Callie family of names. I love the idea of Caroline nn Calla!
