    Firstly it reminded me of: "What's your name?" "Don't tell him Pike!" which is a fun association if you recognise it, though it may lead to teasing.

    Secondly, the derogatory term 'pikey'.

    Not good for a name in the UK.

    There's a frat here called Pike (I think it's actually Pi Kappa Alpha?) and I absolutely can't stand them. They play awful music right under my dorm window and have an...unpleasant reputation.
