    I agree with other posters; Nicholas and Caspar don't seem very obviously Scandinavian to me. With Santa Claus in the US, Klaus might be mispronounced as "Claws". Casper, while cool to me, may still be strongly associated with a friendly ghost to a lot of mainstream people. The ones I think would work in the US are:

    Viggo - especially with the association w/the actor, the popularity of "o" ending names, and a Hanson brother named his son this.
