Grey or Gray work. Grayson works. Even just Saf is ok. Sufjohn? Is that a name? Maybe look into that. Joseph could be Seffi or Sef in my book.
Oh! I cant believe Joseph never came up. A much more usuable name. And Seff could be cute (almost like a lisp though xD)

Sapphire seems like a girls name to me, and Saffron too. To get to that sound:

*Alive, Amoret, Cordelia, Olive, Beatrix, Eugenie, Marigold, Luna, Snow, Matilda, Fleur, Florence*

    *Augusten Wolf/ Magnus Jude/August Jasper/Jude/Cyrus Jude/Lev*

Sorry but there is no getting away from the feminine on Sapphire, Saffron or Grace. Archer Gray is a great name.

I think it is most often simpler to go with what you like and not complicate things. With a daughter Winter Blue, I think a son named simply Saff Archer works and also sounds right with a poss sis Harriet Saige.

I think Winter Blue is a very beautiful name! It's not my style, but I do believe it is in the tradition of the current name trends.
To be honest, Saffron and Saphire sound totally feminine. I would not saddle a boy with either of those names. Archer Grey however, does sound masculine and very handsome at that.
