Maybe take the t and the y for Ty? Might be pushing it.

Taylor and Dakota are wonderful together.

Taylor on a girl is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine.

I don't think it needs a nickame tbh, she'll probably get Tay in the playground. Lora could also work (said like Laura) or even Tor/Tori (taking the start and end of the name). Though chances are you'll find something completely unrelated to her name as a nickname, more connected with her personality, once she's born.

My name is Taylor, and I have been called Tali ever since I was a little girl. Tali is a Hebrew name that means "dew", which I learned only recently, and I love it. Another nickname I get from my family is Tia. Not sure why, but both of those things have always stuck. Funnily enough, my husband is Japanese as well, and Emiko was one of our top three choices if we were going to have a girl (turns out we have a little boy on the way, so we're now going with Hiroshi). Only, I'm doing a Japanese first name and an English middle.
