Full names for the nickname Birdie?

I saw it in a list of nicknames but I have no idea what Birdie is short for. Ideas? Thanks a bunch!

Traditionally, it's a nickname for Bridget, but I think it could also be used for Bernadette.

I've heard of it being potentially used for Beatrice/Beatrix. It's a bit of a stretch though.

I know ones who were Berthas (yeah don't see you rushing out for that one...) or Elizabeths. Elizabeth > Betty > Bitty > Birdie, I think.

    Beatrice makes as much sense.

I think Bridget NN Birdie is really cute actually. Would maybe work for Brigida as well.
