    I like Inessa more than Agnes/Vanessa (though not as much as Inez)

    Not truly related to Agnes, but rather to Anne - Anaïs [ah-nah-ees] is conceivably workable. I find it a bit more euphonious than Agnes and avoids Aggie, which I detest more than Agnes.

    Inessa is probably easier phonetically though.
