Are Arden and Arthur too close?

Hello! My name is Arden, my husband's name is Ben and we are considering the name Arthur for a future child. I LOVE this name, but would the family "Arden, Ben and Arthur" sound too weird? Both are two-syllables and start with the same "Ar" sound. It feels weird to me, but I don't know if that's just me feeling self-conscious. I am thinking that it would be easier if it was a laterborn that in the list of names, there would be more space between Arden and Arthur. Like, "Arden, Ben, Mary and Arthur" doesn't sound as weird as "Arden, Ben and Arthur."

    Your thoughts?

I can understand why you think it's weird, but I honestly don't think it sounds too weird. It's actually really cute, almost like you're passing on your name, but still giving him a name of his own. I think something like Arvin would be too similar, but Arthur would be adorable.

I don't think they're too close, particularly not for a mother and son.

I think it's fine. Boys are named after dads all the time and no one thinks anything of it. I think Arthur is cute! Go for it :-)
