Some of them depend on where you live.
Aaliyah - a-leah (a like cat)
Acacia - a-kay-sha (a like cat)
Adelaide - add-a-laid
Arabella - a-ra-bella (a like cat)
Ariana - arry-AH-na
Evelyn - eh-veh-lin or eve-lin.
Kianna - I don't know if this is a name.
Lorelei - LOH-reh-lie (oh like hot)
Thalia - I did some research on this a while ago. 'th-LIE-a' was the most common pronunciation I found but I still don't know if it's right.
Thank you for your replys.
Aaliyah - uh-lee-uh, Acacia - uh-kay-shuh, Arabella - air-uh-bell-uh - These Look Kinda Strange to me.
Adelaide - add-uh-laid/A-Duh-Laid - I say it this way also - Sorry I'm not very good at writing down sounds.
Ariana - r-ee-ah-nah - ???? To me that pronounciation says Rhianna.
Evelyn - Ev-lyn, Lorelei - lore-uh-lye - This Is How I pronounce These.
Kiana - key-ahna - How I pronounce it but I don't get why the H is there. I hate scilent letter.
Thalia - TAHL-yah - I don't get this one.
Aaliyah - AH-lee-uh, Adelaide - A-duh-layd, Arabella - a-ruh-BEL-uh, Ariana - a-ree-AH-nuh, Lorelei - LO-ruh-lie, Thalia - THAYL-ee-uh - This is how I pronounce these ones also. - Sorry I'm not very good at writing the sayings down.
Acacia - uh-KAY-see-uh, Evelyn - EEV-lin, - I don't get these ones . They makes me think the spelling should be different.
I agree with Ren's pronunciations, though I've never heard the name Thalia said out loud.
If you're in the south of the UK, I'm surprised you don't get EVE-lyn for Evelyn. I find that almost everyone down here says it that way! And I don't see how that pronunciation should mean Evelyn should be spelt differently. EVE-lyn is the most logical pronunciation of Evelyn to me. EV-lyn is a new one though. Is that a Welsh thing? :)
