I think this whole post could lessen the fear of using a popular name on your child. To be quite honest, I work with a nursery and I have yet to meet an Isabella, Sophia, Noah, or rather any other top 10 baby named child.

Thank you for posting this!!! In my experience, most people really don’t understand the numbers behind the popularity listings. I feel bad for the people who claim to love a name, but take it out of consideration because it’s in the top 50 and “too popular”… Yet if they understood that #50 only translated to about 1 in 1,000 babies, they probably wouldn’t hesitate to use the name. Moral of the story – use the names you love, regardless of popularity! 🙂
