Just in time for Father’s Day, WhitePages, the leading provider of contact information for people and businesses in the U.S. has revealed the most popular names in the country that are shared with some of television’s favorite fathers. This new data found that a number of John Waltons (1,459 people), Jim Andersons (1,304 people), and Tim Taylors (1,096 people), are alive and well across the land.
“There is no one in the United States who shares a name with Cliff Huxtable of The Cosby Show or Phil Dunphy of Modern Family,” says Liz Powell, culture and trend expert from WhitePages. “It’s also amusing to think that TV-favorite Danny Tanner of Full House could be living next store.”
The WhitePages list also breaks down the states where the men with the most common names are living. Interestingly enough, there are three Ray Barones in New York, the state where the title character in Everybody Loves Raymond lives, while Archie Bunker and Al Bundy both have retired to Florida.
So here are the iconic TV Dad names shared with men in the U.S.:
• Jason Seaver (Growing Pains): 25; 5 in Massachusetts
• Phil Dunphy (Modern Family): 0
