Famous Foodies with Tasty Names
Auguste Escoffier, born Georges Auguste was a French chef (1846-1935) who was one of the pre-eminent leaders in the development of modern French cuisine. Parents have recently been flocking to the traditional month name August—perhaps some would like to give it a Gallic twist and pronounce it ow-goost.

You could do a follow up blog called Famous Foodies with No Taste in Names (eyes on you Jamie Oliver). Also, I have such a girl crush on Giada; her name too!

We’re big food fans in our house, and this list is interesting. I have a love / hate relationship with Giada’s name. I love her name, but I really really dislike her, so it kind of colors the name for me. I love Cat and I think her name is neat, I would totally use Catherine nickname Cat / Kittie. I also really love Nigella, I love her and I think she is so incredibly stunning, too, which I am sure helps me like the name more.
Poppy – LOL, Jamie’s Oliver’s children’s names ARE truly awful. It’s like he got confused and thought maybe his wife was giving birth to My Little Ponies. (Yes….even the boy).

Confession: I secretly love Jamie Oliver’s names. I know, I know, they are ridiculous. But mostly because of the middle names. Poppy, Daisy, and Petal (ah, Petal!) are totally usable.
Buddy, I just think of Elf.

I agree – I think the girls first names are usable, but together as a sibset? Totally tacky lol.
