When I was in year 1 my best friend was called Tzipora. We called her Tzipi (pronounced zippy) and she got really annoyed hen people called her ‘Tippy’.
The name Tzipora reminds me of her, but i would never call my child that because I don’t want her to be constantly pronouncing her name for people.

The first part of the name looks too similar to "Tizi" and that's just not right to stick on someone. I would really rather not explain why.

I know a girl with this Tz spelling of the name (almost), except her name had an h at the end. Surprisingly, she wore the name quite well and never got teased for it. She was also a popular kid. The only thing is, I think her parents loved the name but were too afraid to put it on the birth certificate, so they called her Tziporah at home and eventually it caught on at school. I have no idea what her birth certificate name was, but it was something everyday and average and worlds away from Tziporah. I always remembered her unique, not her real name, name.
