I'm fascinated by these stylish names and whether they are destined to become cool. Also curious how they relate to the garments. For instance, Janice and Patsy seem like seriously unsexy names, so why did the company apply them to undergarments? Will this give the names more sexiness in the cultural imagination? What does it all mean!!???!

Do Anthro names filter down to the mainstream the way their clothing and style do? This mix of boys and girls names all come from dresses currently listed on Anthropologie's website.

The Winter 2012-13 catalogue of Anthropologie is filled with a combination of ethnic names (not common in the US, but recognizably feminine) and very old-fashioned names that have yet to be rediscovered. I’m betting some of these will become cool baby names in a certain set of upscale boho hipster types.
