Since everyone else is doing it...

I thought I would post a list of current favourites to have the critiqued by everyone. I'm nowhere near the stage of naming children so feel free to be as brutally honest as you like, it is very much appreciated if you are! Thanks:) (Oh, I know there are WAY too many so if you can't comment on them all just do the ones you feel strongest about)

Liliane- Love this one, love Lilly so this one is beautiful
Amelie- I like but prefer Amelia, nicer sounding imo
Juliette- like
Isobel- like prefer isabelle spelling but just too too too popular to use
Eloise- ok name
Brittany- Reminds me of britney spears, brittany murphy, seems a bit chavvy imo
Claire- nice name but wouldnt use it as a first name
Noelle- Christmasy name, wouldnt use, seems v masculine reminds me of name Noel doesnt sound much different
Margot- maggot! sorry:(
Valerie- love this one its really growing on me and not so popular at the moment which is always a plus. love love it!
Madeline- reminds me of maddie mccann kinda makes me sad so wouldnt use
Jean- seems too old fashioned
Vivienne- lovely mn
Fleur- like but wouldn use
Jaime- wouldnt use on a girl
Alouette- too fussy think people would have spelling/pronounciation probs
Elodie- same as above
Chanel- same looks like Channel esp if you havent heard of Chanel designer or worse sounds like chavtastic Chantelle from big brother,not a good connotation for me ha
Therese- mums middle name would possibly use as mn

Clementine- like but wouldnt have guts to use, always imagine kid being bullied for being called after an orange?
Evangeline- lovely like nn Evie
Katherine- classic beautiful name
Emmeline- nice
Veronica- wouldnt use , Ronnie nickname!
Elizabeth- classic name, gorgeous
Guinevere- too posh sounding prefer Gwenyth or Genevieve
Rhiannon- dislike
Christina- grandmothers name am definitely using it as mn if i ever have a girl
Susannah- not a fan
Victoria- not a fan either
Caroline- nice classic name love it
Margaret- like nn Maggie but would use full name

Seraphina- angelic name
Allegra- medicine, legs, never got this name
Isadora- cosmetic company otherwise i would have liked it
Gia- how to pronounce it,
Marietta- i think of the biscuits

Liliane - Pretty but I prefer Lily, Lilia, or Liliana
Amelie - I like this. Soft and feminine.
Juliette - Pretty name but it will always have the Romeo & Juliet connotation for me.
Isobel - I prefer Isabella
Eloise - Not a fan. Reminds me of the cartoon that lives in the hotel.
Brittany - No for me.
Claire - Pretty and classic but I prefer Clara.
Noelle - No for me.
Margot - No for me.
Valerie - No for me. Valeria is pretty, though.
Madeline - No for me.
Jean - No for me.
Vivienne - Not a big fan although it is a classic, elegant name.
Fleur - Not loving it, might be OK as a middle name.
Jaime - I prefer Jamie.

Liliane- i love most names starting with 'lil' but i prefer Lily, Lilia and Lillian over Liliane

Amelie- beautiful name

Juliette- prefer Juliet spelling, less fussy but has the same graceful sound to it.

Isobel- prefer Isabel and Isabella but they're both ridiculously popular so it's a no go for me.

Eloise- pretty, not my favorite. love the nn Ellie even though its getting quite popular.

Brittany- way too trendy and popular for me

Claire- could be a wonderful mn

Noelle- it is very pretty but is too closely linked to Christmas for me. Maybe as a mn

Margot- prefer simpler Margo because Margot is all maggot to me (so sorry!!!)

Valerie- not my style but Valeria is pretty

Madeline- prefer Madeleine over Madeline

Jean- love Jane but Jean is way too old-fashioned for me

Vivienne- very beautiful

Fleur- ditto

Jaime- prefer James for a boy

Alouette- although it's a beautiful classic, it may have many pronunciation/spelling problems which may or may not bother you

Elodie- love it!

Chanel- way too fashion designer for me. Maybe Chantal?

Therese- love the nn Tess!

Clementine- beautiful name but I don't like most of its nns ='(

Evangeline- the nn Evie is adorable

Katherine- beautiful classic that even though it's popular I love because of the nn Kate!

Emmeline- Emme or Emmy are cute nns but they might get confused with uber-popular Emma.

Veronica- not my favorite

Elizabeth- too popular. Love Eliza though.

Guinevere- a bit lot for a little girl to carry. Maybe Genevieve or Ginerva instead?

Rhiannon- beautiful Irish name!

Christina- pretty

Susannah- love it!

Victoria- ditto

Caroline- too popular where I love

Margaret- same as Caroline

Seraphina- too pretty princess for me

Allegra- medicine ruined this one beyond possibility for me =(

Isadora- like

Gia- only live as a nn for something for more substantial: ie. Gianna, Giovanna

Marietta- don't like the meaning of this one

Angelina- used to love before Jolie connection became too much.

Francesca- love it as a name but don't love the nns with it

Sofia- so popular but so beautiful

Natalia- like Talia better

Cara- this name has always bothered me because it looks unfinished to me (imo of course)

Natasha- nice but I wouldn't use it

Serena- feels trendy

Cosima- don't like it

Andrea- ditto

Juliana- prefer Juliet but Juliana is pretty as well

Rosa- prefer other variations of Rosa: Rose, Rosalie, Rosanna, Rosaelia


Ethan- for a girl??????

Dylan- don't like for a girl

Rowan- ditto

Willow- not my favorite

Harper- same as Willow

Skylar- love nn Sky!

Arden- warming up to this one

Piper- never liked it much

Avalon- don't like
