Girls names I would like to see used more

This is a list of names I like (not necessarily for my own children) that I would like to see used more often. I'm doing girls because girls names seem so much easier than boys.

Felicity
Carmen
Bridget
Laurie/Lori
Harriet
Lorelai
Indigo
Joelle
Louisa
Zoe
Lucinda
Lucille
Marion

Just a short list of names I would like to hear more even just in consideration.

Laurie/Lori- don't really like - seem a little dated
Harriet- Harriet the Spy was one of my all time favorite books so I have a fondness for this one
Lorelai- I love Lorelai but it is German I believe, not Hawaiian
Indigo-
Joelle-
Louisa- love Louisa and Louise
Zoe- like this one too!

Re: Girls names I would like to see used more

Felicity: One of my favorites!
Carmen
Bridget: I think this is sweet...
Laurie/Lori: This one is dated to me (very 1970s). I looked it up, and Pam and Linda say it's the name of a sixties babysitter, which made me laugh. :-)
Harriet: I really love this name, and Hattie, too.
Lorelai
Indigo
Joelle
Louisa: One of my favorites!
Zoe: Zoe is quite trendy in the U.S. (#58)...
Lucinda: I think this is beautiful!
Lucille
Marion

I'm actually hoping that Louisa and Felicity remain underused! :-)

Have a good night!

Re: Girls names I would like to see used more

Can I add some?
These are names that I like, but have yet to meet someone with the name... (although, its a good thing because it means I can still use the name :)

Fiona
Genevieve
Amelie
Carina
Eliza
Matilda
Giselle
Camille
Helena
Tabitha
Juliet

Re: Girls names I would like to see used more

I would love to meet a Harriet! And a Marion, too. Its a family name on my paternal side, so it may be a middle name contender down the road.

I do hear Zoe everywhere, though. All the time and everywhere.

Re: Girls names I would like to see used more

^ Zoe seems to be more popular in America. I've only ever known one in my whole life and I'm from the UK.
Some popular American names never made it over here - Cody, Casey, Jason, Mallory, Madison
