If you want to read something that really makes you laugh, go to the ssa website and click "Popular Names for Twins". There are some very similar, matchy, and just plain bad twin names. Here are a few of the staggering numbers for some less-than-stellar combinations:
56 pairs of Jayden and Jordan
50 pairs of Ethan and Evan
43 pairs of Taylor and Tyler
42 pairs of Gabriella and Isabella
40 pairs of Isaac and Isaiah
35 pairs of Ella and Emma
34 pairs of Landon and Logan
29 pairs of Faith and Hope
27 pairs of James and John
27 pairs of Madison and Mason
24 pairs of Addison and Aiden
24 pairs of Christian and Christopher
24 pairs of Jayden and Jaylen
22 pairs of Makayla and Makenzie
20 pairs of Jordan and Justin
19 pairs of Gabriel and Michael (If it was triplets you could always add Raphael!)
17 pairs of Faith and Grace
17 pairs of Jayda and Jayden (plus 16 Jada and Jadens)
15 pairs of Anna and Emma
14 pairs of Heaven and Nevaeh
13 pairs of Adrian and Adriana
13 pairs of Alexander and Alexis
13 pairs of Aiden and Austin
And the best/worst:
14 pairs of Autumn and Summer.

I went there about a week ago and was... well... kind of appalled. There was not one combo that I would ever use, and very few that I even liked.
I thought Summer and Autumn was bad, but I thought the worst was Heaven and Neveah! I see two things there. First, they have the same name. Second, if I were Neveah, I would feel like the backwards twin!

Oh dear .... all those poor babies. I think Anna and Emma is passable, though ... just. I identified with your comment on the Gabriel and Michael combination - I named my son Raphael, and one of my main issues before I decided to use it was that I would not be able to call another son Gabriel (an unusual name over here; we only seem to have Gabriellas).

Heaven and Nevaeh? Yikes. Jayden and Jaylen? Hurts my stomach.
This is fun though thanks for sharing it!

I love Raphael and it's great to hear people using it. I don't know if I would be brave enough, especially since I live in the states. You live in England, right twinkle? Out of curiousity what other names were you considering with Raphael?

Nevaeh must be the Evil Twin in all those pairs.

I found a few more at the bottom of the list that I wasn't fond of:
Aiden and Ava (apparently these parents thought the title of Pam and Lindas new book was a good twinset)
Natalie and Nathan (both called what? Nat?)

Awe, say it isn't so! (Seriously. Pleeease. Say it isn't so.) :-) I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry! Jayda and Jaydan? Jaden and Jordan? Addison and Aiden?
(Were there any Madison and Addison pairings? Then again, I don't want to know.)
Heaven and Nevaeh? I think I lost a big 'ole chunk of IQ points just by reading that. I need to go find my happy place now. :-)

I have a cousin named Madison. She's in her 20's so she was one of the first. Her mother says if she was a boy she would have been Addison Had she been boy/girl twins, you guessed it Madison and Addison!

Those poor children!! My parents knew triplets in college (long time ago!) that were named Faith, Hope and Charity! That tops all for me!
