Just brainstorming names :-)
by bananakins on Fri Nov 06, 2009 2:26 pm
I don't know if this is appropriate to post, since I am nowhere near expecting a baby, and I am new to Nameberry...
I just became an aunt again and had so much fun helping my sister on her names, that I started thinking again about what I would name my future kids.
Henry, James, Louis, Dorothy, Annelise, Violet, Eloise, Charlotte, Lavender, Matilda, Adelaide and Rosemary are out, but I would like to continue her tradition of having 3 names per child.
Any suggestions?

What kind of names do you like?
I'm not very good at just suggesting names out of the blue. Sorry.

Welcome dots aunt! Please suggest to ur sister that she start a blog! So many of us were invested in the entire story with little Henry and the twins names. I read her last post about the girls at the hospital and Dot and Henry trick or treating. She said she would love to post pics. I for one want to see those pics!!! She is really inspirational to me taking in Henry while the twins were around the corner. Just mention it to her. I love ur naming style would u mind posting on my post under boys names "need a name for Lila's brother" thanx!!

Thank you Meryl! I am actually babysitting Dottie and Henry tonight while my sister is at the hospital with the babies.
I have been after her to start a blog too, especially, since several of our mutual friends and family members have all been constantly asking her/me for updates!
Adopting Henry really happened all so fast! Its completely crazy to think about how fast it happened. I got a text from her about the news of the death, then another later on in the day about Henry, then the next thing I knew, my brother in law was driving up there. I know my sis was emotionally stressed, but I think there was really no doubt in my mind that they would come thru for him. Both of them are just the type of people who step up to the plate. I am so lucky to have them in my family!
Dottie and Henry had so much fun trick-or-treating. I think this is the first year Dottie really understood what it was about - well maybe. I swear she thinks that if she still wears her costume she can get more candy. Either that, or she just really likes being a bear. She is really the funniest, most entertaining little kid I have ever met.

You and your family are in my thoughts! :-) Thank you! I had it easy tonight! Dottie wanted to do what she calls "girl talk" (I taught her that) to which she interprets as she gets to ramble on about nonsense and we are all supposed to listen intently to and Henry "taught" me about hockey, to which the rules are pretty simple: these guys get the puck here and this guy doesn't want it to go there. When I asked him about some of the rules he said, "no, no, no... those are just some of the rules. but you dont have to worry about them. You just need to get the puck right there." If I had only known it was that simple!...
Best wishes to you too! :-)
