Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

Adelaide (Addy) - love this and like it with Lydia, although you'll run into a lot of Addy's and Maddy's
Adriana (Addy) - ok
Alexandra (Alex, but can you think of any others??) - not my favorite. Other nn's are Lexi, Ally, Andie
Baylee - ok. I prefer Bailey spelling
Briana - nms
Bronwyn - like this a lot
Bryony - like this one too
Cameron - nms for a girl
Cassia - ok
Charlotte (Lottie or Charley, love both!) - I like this, good with Adelaide, Lydia, Alexandra, Faith, Eliza
Demi - nms. I think Demi Moore and it means half in French
Eliza - like this a lot. Good with Lydia, Charlotte maybe Bronwyn
Faye - nms
Fayth - prefer Faith spelling
Fearne - I've never seen this one before. It seems unisex
Gabriella - popular and too frilly for a lot of your other options
Jodi - nms, seems a little dated
Jude - I don't see this as a girls' name
Katy - I like as nn for Katherine
Leonie - ok. I prefer Leonora or Leona
Libby - I like as nn for Elizabeth
Linhee - I've never seen this one. Maybe you'd like Linnea?
Lottie - very cute as nn for Charlotte but not on its own
Lydia - like this one a lot. good with Adelaide, Charlotte, Eliza, Faith, Katherine nn Katy and Elizabeth nn Libby
Melissa - nms but could be cute
Mia - like this one and maya. maybe with Faith, Elizabeth nn Libby (if you don't mind Mia being shorter than Elizabeth), Eliza, Bryony
Nadia - ok
Nadine - nms and doesn't have great nns
Niemh - I like this one but it doesn't seem to match your other options that are more mainstream in spelling and pronunciation.
Piper - cute, maybe with Mia, Bailey, Bronwyn
Riley - nms for a girl
Ryan - nms for a girl, it's too common as a boys' name. I think it would sound like you have one girl and one boy if you used Ryan with any of these other names. Riley and Ryan would sound like two boys.
Sadie - nms, usually a nickname for Sarah. could go with Leonie
Skye - ok. Goes with Piper, maybe Mia
Sofia - ok but so popular right now
Stella - like this one a lot. goes with Charlotte (Charley or Lottie), Eliza, Elizabeth nn Libby, Piper, Mia (same ending though), Bronwyn, Cassia, Bryony

My favorites from your list:
Stella
Bronwyn
Mia
Eliza
Piper

Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

Adelaide (Addy): I think that Adelaide is lovely and sophisticated.

Adriana (Addy): I think this is beautiful...

Alexandra (Alex, but can you think of any others??): I think it's a strong name. You could also call her Lexie, Allie, Andie or Xandie.

Baylee: I'm not a fan of Baylee/Bailey/Bayley/Bayleigh or the aylee trend, which includes names such as Braylie/Braelee/Caylee/Caleigh/Haylee/Jaylee/Shaylee...

Pam and Linda wrote a blog about this trend, which you may find interesting:

http://nameberry.com/blog/2009/04/07/the-million-baby-name/

Briana: I prefer some of the other names on your list.

Bronwyn: I think it's pretty...

Bryony: I think it's beautiful. (I love floral/botanical names.) :-)

Cameron: A boy's name to me.

Cassia: I really like this name, but Cassia may encounter pronunciation issues (cash-uh and cass-ee-uh).

Charlotte (Lottie or Charley, love both!): I really love Charlotte and Lottie. :-)

Demi: Moore and Lovato.

Eliza: I LOVE Eliza!

Faye: I prefer some of the other names on your list.

Fayth: I think that Faith is pretty, but I'm not a fan of yooneek spellings.

Fearne: Is this supposed to be Fern?

Gabriella: I think it's beautiful, but it's pretty trendy in the U.S.

Jodi: Jodi feels very 1970s to me. I love Josephine, though!

Jude: This is a boy's name to me.

Katy: I think it's a sweet nickname for Katherine, but I'm more of a Katie person.

Leonie: I think this is pretty....

Libby: I think it's a great nickname for Elizabeth, but it doesn't feel substantial enough to me on its own.

Linhee: I've never seen this name before. Is it a family name? I prefer some of the others on your list.

Lottie: I love it as a nickname for Charlotte, but not on its own.

Lydia: I love the name Lydia!

Melissa: Melissa feels very 1980s to me.

Mia: I think it's very pretty, but it's also very popular. I like it on its own and as nickname for Amelia.

Nadia: I only think of Nadia Suleman, the wacky mom of the octuplets.

Nadine: I prefer some of the other names on your list.

Niemh: Depending on where you live, pronunciation issues may come into play for Niemh.

Piper: Not my style, but I can see its appeal.

Riley: I prefer some of your other names...

Ryan: A boy's name to me....

Sadie: I think that Sadie is sweet and spunky, and I really like it as a nickname for Sarah.

Skye: Not my style, but I can see its appeal.

Sofia: I think it's beautiful, but it's very, very popular.

Stella: I really like this name...

My favorites from your list:

Adelaide
Charlotte
Eliza
Lydia
Stella

Good luck! :-)

First of all, I love Lydia and Eliza = two of my favorite names! My issue with Adelaide is that I don't care for the nickname Addy at all. Sorry! Lydia and Bryony would be another very pretty sibling set of your names. Another you've got on here is Charlotte. I adore it, always have. If I ever have twin girls, they will be Lydia and Charlotte Eliza (haven't chosen Lydia's middle name). Libby is a cute nickname for Elisabeth, but I don't like it alone. I love Sophia (spelled like this) and Stella is very sweet as well!

Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

Well first, may I say that I LOVE Adelaide Eliza and Lydia Faye, much more so than Alexandra Erin and Cameron Fayth, which too me seem less vintagey classics and more trendy (might just be me though.)

Adelaide (Addy)- like this one very much though I prefer calling her Adelaide straight without an nn

Adriana (Addy)- prefer Adelaide over Adriana but also a nice choice

Alexandra (Alex, but can you think of any others??) I prefer some of your other names much more. As for nns (and sorry for repeats) Alexa, Lexi, Lexa, Xandra, Andi, Allie

Baylee- not a fan of Baylee or any other spelling of it

Briana- a bit too popular (at least where I am) and not one of my favorites from your list

Bronwyn- I have yet to warm to this name, which seems like it's becoming a nameberry favorite

Bryony- I really like this one, especially with the spelling of Briony which seems more classic to me

Cameron- Generally not strong on unisex names for either gender and the nns Cam and Cammie are definitely not for me

Cassia- like Bronwyn, I have yet to warm up to this one

Charlotte (Lottie or Charley, love both!)- I really love Charlotte, very much in fact. I like Charley if I have to chose between a nn but I prefer Charlotte as it is.

Demi- Demi Moore rings in my mind as well as the new teenage star, Demi Lovato

Eliza- very feminine but spunky fresh form of Elizabeth that I have grown close to despite initial dislike (knew a not-nice girl name Eliza in school)

Faye- In my opinion, it's an underused, overlooked name that deserves some really special attention. I love Eliza Faye.

Fayth- Very much prefer the spellind Faith. It's a bit too plain for me, without any mysterious or magical qualities.

Fearne- I neither like this name nor the spelling (Fern is much better I think) In the end though, it's all up to you

Gabriella- the 'ella' trend is sweeping through the charts but the nn Gabi is super adorable!

Jodi- A bit too old-school for me I'm afraid

Jude- For a girl???
Katy- it could be a plausible nickname for a fuller name like Katherine, Kathleen, Catherine or (my personal favorite) Katharine

Leonie- don't like this choice very much

Libby- Don't like it at all as a fn but as an nn for Elizabeth or Liberty, I think it's very sweet

Linhee- Not familiar with it or the pronunciation

Lottie- not fond either as a nn or an fm

Lydia- pretty and old-fashioned

Melissa- I don't have good connections with this name and see it in the same league as Amanda, Joely and Leah (this may or may not be a good thing for you)

Mia- Despite its soaring popularity, I really like this name, especially as an nn for Amelia

Nadia- like Nadine better

Nadine- LOVE Nadine

Niemh- I don't know how to pronounce it

Piper- Though it's not one of my favorites, I picture a bubbly, spirited, happy young girl which is always a good thing to picture.

Riley- never liked this name very much

Ryan- all boy to me. I never met a girl named Ryan though I hear from other posters that it's getting really popular for girls.

Sadie- Kind of as a rule, I'm not fond of the long 'a' in the beginning of a name.

Skye- very pretty and flows well with many things

Sofia- extremely popular (especially Sophia) but I love it (just NOT the nn Sophie)

Stella- pretty but is continuing the 'ella' trend.

Of your list, my favorites are: Adelaide, Briony, Faye, Eliza, Lydia, Mia, Nadine, Skye and Sofia (a lot I know but there are a lot of names!0

Some I think (from looking at your style) that you might like are:
Rosaleen/Rosalie/Roslyn/Rosemary
Katharine/other spellings
Louise/a
Mariella/Marie/Mariana
Jessamine (maybe a bit much but it's beautiful)
Jasmine
Lilac
Lavender
Lorelei
Hope I helped!!!;)

Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

I like Bryony & Cassia beautiful together!

Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

Thankyou so much guys! You're really helping and my list is narrowed down a little. I already have a two year old daughter calleed Riley Martha so I really put Riley on there just to see what people think of it - obviously I won't use it again! lol, so here's my renovated list! It was sp hard to get rid of some of my favourite names but I'm really thinking what'll go with Riley and what I'm actually really likely to use - although it's killing me to remove Amelia, Briana and Adriana and all the rest that've gone! =*(

Adelaide (Addy)

Alexandra (Alex or I'm now leaning towards Ally?)

Bronwyn (possibly a mn because my frind is having a Bronwyn)

Cameron (Cammi or Cam)

Cassia (Cassie or Cass, pron, Cass-e-a not Cash-a)

Charlotte (Lottie or Charley)

Eliza (only mn material really because my reinf is having an Elizabeth)

Faye (probably just mn)

Fern (I'm back to this spelling, this is the one I've always liked but I saw it spelled Fearne the other day and immediatly loved it, now I've gone off it again - it was a short love lol)

Gabriella (Ella, not a fan of Gabby

Katy (mn?)

Leonie

Liberty (I've just added this because people have been saying I oculd use Libby as nn, and I LOVE Libby so much)

Lydia (Lydie)

Mia (possible mn?)

Piper

Ryan (Ry, possibly mn because I suppose Ryan and Riley would sound like two boyus, still one of my loves though)

Sadie

Skye (mn?)

Sofia (Fia)

Stella

Hopefully this looks a lot shorter - it better do after the pain I just went through! lol

Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

hi :)
my favourites are Cassia, Fern, Leonie, Lydia, Sadie and Bronwyn

for combos I like:
Sadie & Fern
Cassia & Bronwyn
Leonie & Cassia
Lydia & Bronwyn
Lydia & Sadie

good luck! :)

Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

From your shortened list I love Liberty (nn Libby) and Skye. I have a Liberty (nn Libby) myself and love it. Liberty means"freedom" and Skye makes me think of wide open, blue skies which has a feel of freedom so i think they pair well together.

Re: Girl Twins! Due March!

Adelaide (Addy) - i'm neutral about this name
Adriana (Addy) - a nice name, but reminds me of an 80's name
Alexandra (Alex, but can you think of any others??) - more of a classic name that is "in" right now, especially with popular versions... Alexia, Lexi, Lexa, Alexa, etc.
Baylee - too trendy
Briana - way over used.
Bronwyn - nice name, i know its a girl's name, but it has always striked me as a boy's name.
Bryony - don't like how this one sounds
Cameron - i think of this more as a boy's name
Cassia - i like this name, but prefer the spelling Kasia. the only thing is that there will probably be a lot of pn issues. (Ka-sha, or Kas-ee-uh???) Also very eastern european.
Charlotte (Lottie or Charley, love both!) - very popular
Demi - i can't get Demi Moore's image out of my head!
Eliza - i'm neutral about this name
Faye - very adorable name!
Fayth - this spelling doesn't look right, I prefer the original Faith.
Fearne - i don't like this name at all
Gabriella - very popular in the hispanic neighborhoods here, but is a pretty name
Jodi - i picture this as a spunky teen name
Jude - i didn't know this was a girl's name.
Katy - cute, but would use as a nn. she might not want to be called Katy at her job when she gets older, she might prefer Katherine or something else.
Leonie - the only thing i can think of is the small chain of restaurants in my area (Leona's)
Libby - this is an "old" name, but I really like it!
Linhee - sounds made up
Lottie - cute as a nn, but i'm not sure i would use as a full first name
Lydia - older name from my mom's generation, don't like it.
Melissa - another 80's name
Mia - has become too popular for me
Nadia - very Russian, i've always been fond of this name, but was always affraid to actually name my dd this b/c i was affraid people would think she was straight off the boat.
Nadine - older name, from my mom's generation. Don't like it.
Niemh - though it sounds made up i like it! and it's very different!
Piper - cute name, i can't see and adult being called Piper though.
Riley - way too popular
Ryan - not for a girl, maybe Rianne instead
Sadie - I adore this name!
Skye - a 90's name, has lost its spunk and popularity
Sofia - too popular for me
Stella - has that "old" feeling which is coming back "in"

Charlotte and Sadie go very well with each other. I just LOVE this combo! My top pick for combos.
Libby and Stella
Niemh and Piper
Demi and Niemh is very cute!
Libby and Sofia
Nadia and Cassia
Mia and Gabriella
Mia and Fayth
