First time poster, Give me your opinons!

My husband and I have a 2 year old, Brooke Nicole, and are slowly planning our next child. MN for Girls will be either Rae (my dad and brothers middle names are Raymond) or Constance (my late nana's name was Connie) and for Boys Campbell (my late granddads last name) or Thomas (my late granddads middle name).

Boys-

Caelan
Jack
Finn
Sebastian

Girls-
Maia
Caliegh
Peyton
Olivia
Sophia
Lily

I think of your boy names, Jack goes best with Brooke. Like Brooke, it is a one syllable name that's familiar without being overdone. It also doesn't have any nicknames and I personally like when siblings either all have longer names with nicknames, or none do. (I'm a bit OCD. ;)) Finn also matches that description, and I love the sound of it, but I personally think Finn should be a nickname for a longer name, like Finlay or Phinneas, and those seem to not match as well with Brooke. Jack Campbell or Jack Thomas are both handsome names.

As for girls, my favorite from your list is Maia. It's also monosyllabic, and has the same cute and friendly feel as Brooke does without nicknames. Maia Rae would be pretty if you have a longer surname, and Maia Constance is cute too. I would make that decision based on which flows best with your surname.

My favourite is Maia, followed by Lily, Olivia and then Sophia from the girl's list. The other names on the list are not to my taste at all. I have a Maia myself and Constance was a mn we considered for her. I think it sounds lovely!
From the boy's list, I like Sebastian and Jack a lot, Finn is okay too. Jack Campbell or Sebastian Thomas (although lots of s sounds!)

Re: First time poster, Give me your opinons!

My favorites -

Sebastian Thomas - I love this one!

Maia Constance - would work the best imo but this combo isn't my favorite. What about Mia Connie?

All though Olivia is very popular is it still one of my favorites. I'd pair it with Rae, Olivia Rae.

Re: First time poster, Give me your opinons!

Of your girls names my faves are Maia, Olivia, Sophia and Lily (although I think the last three are pretty popular). How about...

Maia Rae
Olivia Constance
Lily Rae

I love the name Jack. Sebastian would be my second pick but out of the two I would hands down go for Jack. I think either Jack Campbell or Jack Thomas would work.

Re: First time poster, Give me your opinons!

You have chosen names that are super popular now eg Jack, Lily, Olivia, Sophia, Finn, just so you understand before you name your baby and don't have namers remorse later because you didn't realise they were so popular.

I think Maia works beautifully with Brooke, Maia Lily Rae

For a son I would name him Sebastian Thomas which is lovely with Maia but not as good with Brooke.

Jack and Brooke go well so my choice here would be Jack Campbell.

Re: First time poster, Give me your opinons!

My favorites are Maia, Lily, and Olivia for the girls and Finn and Sebastian for the boys.

Caelan-- This might be mistaken for a girl's name...
Jack-- It's nice, but pretty popular
Finn-- I really like Finn!
Sebastian-- This is really nice too

Maia-- I love Maia!
Caliegh-- What is this supposed to be? Cayleeg? Caleigh? I would definitely avoid this; it's so tryndee, and you have lots of other really nice ones!
Peyton-- See Caleigh, plus it's a surname
Olivia-- I really love this, but it's #7 in popularity, if that matters to you
Sophia-- I also like this, but it's super popular too
Lily-- I love Lily, but it's gaining in popularity...

Others you may like:

Isabel
Kaia
Annabel
Lila

Re: First time poster, Give me your opinons!

Hi, and welcome! :-)

Caelan: I know it's an authentic Scottish name (and I think it's handsome), but to me, Caelan feels too close to trendy names like Braelyn/Caylyn/Jaylyn/Brayden/Cayden/Hayden/Jaiden/Jayden, etc.

(I also know of a few young girls named Caylen/Kailyn, etc.)

Jack: I think that Jack is very handsome, although I'm not a fan of it with Campbell due to the back-to-back K sounds.

Finn: I think Finn is a great name, and I also love Finnian. I think that Finnian Campbell has a great flow. :-)

Sebastian: I love Sebastian Campbell, although I think that some of your other names, like Finn, sound better with Brooke's more modern feel.

Girls-
Maia: I think that Maia is very pretty...

Caliegh: I'm not a fan of the trendy -aley/aleigh/alee names (Baylee/Bayleight/Bailey/Caylee/Cayleigh/Haley/Haylee/Hayleight/Shayleigh etc.).
Pam and Linda call them a "meganame," and wrote about this yooneek trend in this blog: http://nameberry.com/blog/2009/04/07/the-million-baby-name/

Peyton: Not a Peyton fan...

Olivia: VERY popular, but I do think it's pretty and works with Brooke.

Sophia: VERY popular, too, which may or may not bother you.

Lily: Ditto.

Brooke and:

Audrey
Chloe (super popular, though)
Claire
Laurel
Miranda
Ruby
Rosalie

More modern sounding and unisex names for Brooke's sister:

Arden
Auden
Bellamy
Delaney
Connelly (another way to honor a Connie)
Emery
Ellery
Harper
Hadley
Linden
Lane
Piper
Quinn
Quincy
Rowan
Willow

Brooke and:

Andrew
Archer
Bennett (B theme, though)
Donovan
Elliot
Everett
Finnegan
Finnian
Grant
Graham
Hudon
Jude
Lachlan
Maxfield
Pierce
Quinlan
Rafferty
Sullivan
Tate
Vaughn
Xavier

Not all of the above work with your middles, but I thought I'd suggest them anyway, just in case! :-)

Best wishes to you! :-)

P.S. I apologize for repeats!
