We have decided on a first name.....wasn't on our poll!

We have finally made a decision and all our family loves it, and agrees. We took a big sigh when we came to this decision, and finally feel peace and our baby girl is named! Her first name will be Annaliese. Now...we are looking for a middle name that goes with Rain. She will be given 3 names. So...Annaliese {something} Rain.

So far, we are looking at Victoria and November. What do you think? Suggestions are MOST welcome. Oh and as far as the Alexis being in there...do you think it could stay? Annaliese Alexis Rain? A few people like it, but I am not sold on it. We were trying to honor the birthmothers naming of the Alexis, but we have found out that all the other siblings names were changed for their adoptions, so we felt like Annaliese was a close name to it.

I just want to say thanks for answering our poll. I don't know how to delete it or I would do that! I don't know why we didn't think of this name before, but now that we have it, it's a keeper!

I think that we need to soften Alexis now that we have Anneliese, some combos are really popular but I like them all.

Aww thanks Rollo! We are in love! More in love than ever! LOL Catherine and Sophie are family names, so both I love! Also, if we can find something that flows after Rain, we are open to that, too! So...Annaliese Rain Catherine or Annaliese Rain Sophia...along those lines....But I do like the idea of keeping the Rain in 3rd...and if we don't find the perfect name...then she will be Annaliese Rain McCreary!

Anneliese is really pretty! I wouldn't spell it Annaliese-- that just looks wrong. Middle names...

I REALLY love Gwyneth...the baby's grams name is Gwendolyn! Pippa is our daughter's nickname (Pip/Pipster). I can't use Violet...when I read it, I see Violent Rain, LOL The other I like from your list is Juliet! Wow Susan, keep them coming!

Just wanted to come on here for the 2nd name suggestions - November would be ok, except for the 1992 Guns 'n' Roses epic ballad, "November Rain." It was a long time ago, so maybe everyone forgot about it, but it was on MTV, like 95 times per day for a while. It's a pretty good song for a hair ballad, I liked it, but after the 7th minute, it turns for the very worst. Don't watch if you're emotional or could get emotional:

I don't know how it feels to be adopted, and if that's weird or not for the child. I'd defer to others if there's some real reason you shouldn't do it.

Hmmm...honestly never heard of the song! I was thinking along the lines of honoring my Mama whose birthday is in November, and the baby is due in November. Plus, I had thought long and hard of using November as a first name and nm Novi as I love it. So...that's the reason behind November. All of my children, but the oldest our adopted. Annaliese will be our 9th. My other kids love their names. They all keep their first name they are given (unless they are babies).
