Nina

I really love the name Nina, it's not overused but not out there. I am really struggling with a middle name. My mother's middle name is Margaret and I would love to somehow honor that without actually using Margaret (it just feels a little dated to me)... Any ideas? :)

Well, I can't think of anything for Margaret, but I love the name Nina Frances.
Oh, Nina Marin, Nina Marie (although that is such a filler name!), but that's all I can think of!

I love Nina! :-)
Nina Pearl (Margaret means Pearl)
Nina Marguerite (French version of Margaret)
Nina Marielle (has the Mar part!)
For what it's worth, I really love Nina Margaret!
Good luck! :-)

Love Jill's idea of Nina Pearl!
Also, Nina Maisie, if you have anything but a two-syllable last name.
I love Nina Margaret!
And what about Nina Marigold!
Also Nina Margery - it's so dated, maybe it could be considered nerdy cool. I think it's cool because it's Medieval. Don't like Marjorie as much.

Nina is a very pretty name! Will it be pronounced Nine-a or nee-na? I think either go well with Margaret. While i do agree si feels a little old and dated it would be a great way to honor you mom.

I love, love, love Nina - would have used it in a heartbeat if my husband had liked it.
For what it's worth, I actually think Margaret is more timeless than dated. Nina Margaret sounds great, kind of like Ann Margaret.

thanks for all your help :) i really love all the ideas. i think i like nina pearl and after hearing so many people like margaret, it sort of makes it more appealing. so thank you all! p.s. i would say it nee-na, not nine-a.

No problem! :-) I love Nina, and think that both Nina Pearl and Nina Margaret are stunning!
Good luck!
