Still trying to decide on a girls name...any suggestions?

Hi everyone,

I posted awhile back and got some great feedback, but here I am in the home stretch of my pregnancy and I am still conflicted about names. I thought I would just list a compilation of names that I either currently like or am considering, as well as names I have considered in the past and see if anyone here can come up with anything new for me--I am open to any of these being used as middle names as well, so feel free to suggest combos (including double mn's). I seem to be drawn to "L" names and "V" names this pregnancy. Perhaps I will have to see her to name her??? Big brothers are Tristan Michael and Nathaniel Blane (middle names for those two are both family names, but I don't have a family name that I desperately want to use for this one). Thanks!

Names that I love or that appeal to me on any level (whether or not I can actually use them):

Francesca--my girl name choice for Nathaniel, but haven't felt as strong a connection to it for this baby though both me and hubby still love the name

Cecilia--girls name for Tristan but haven't connected to it for this baby.

Genevieve--was a top contender for awhile. I still love it, but not sure I feel the connection anymore. I also do not like any form of "Jen/Gen" as a nn.

Lola--the only name we all like (and what we pretty much refer to her as). Just concerned about trendiness and negative connotations and it is very different from the other names we like. I love it, but keep thinking there must be something "better." Also have a niece named Layla so concerned about the name similarity.

Verity--just love something about this. Considering for a mn.

Waverly--same as above.

Camille--really love this name, hubby does not.

Olivia--love it, but too popular.

Sophia--same as above.

Lily/Lilian/Liliana--same as above.

Clare--like for a mn.

Delilah--it's not in the running, but I like the name.

Annelise--really liked this name in the beginning. Still like for possible mn.

Vivienne--really like this as well.

Re: Still trying to decide on a girls name...any suggestions?

I love Vivienne and think it sounds great with Tristan and Nathaniel (which are gorgeous btw!), some other 'v' and 'l' names:

Veronica
Vanessa
Violet
Valerie
Valentina

Sorry that's all I can think of now... brain is fried and I'm very tired

Re: Still trying to decide on a girls name...any suggestions?

I think Francesca is a beautiful name - classic and elegant.

Lola is adorable (and I don't think its too close to Layla) but I always prefer giving a longer more formal name and then using the nn. (ie: Madonna's daughter Lourdes, nicknamed Lola). Ideas for names that can use Lola as a nn: Lorelai, Loralee, Lauren/Loren, Lorena, Loreta, Lorissa, Larissa, Lucrezia, Louanna, Louisa.

Verity - I don't love this name but I think it would be cute as a middle name.

Camille-- I think this is beautiful. Other names in a similar vein that might appeal: Calla, Clotilde, Claudia, Claudette, Cosette.

Olivia--love it, but too popular. I kind of feel exactly the same about this name and Sophia.

Lily/Lilian/Liliana-- Lily is pretty. Liliana is also nice. What about Lilia?

Clare--like for a mn. (I prefer Clara)

Annelise-- I think this is beautiful (as well as Annalisa).

I like:
Francesca
Genevieve
Lola
Liliana

Re: Still trying to decide on a girls name...any suggestions?

I vote for Vivienne Clare.

Re: Still trying to decide on a girls name...any suggestions?

Francesca: I think it's gorgeous, but while I can picture it with Tristan, I can't see Nathaniel and Francesca as siblings.

Cecilia: I can see Cecilia with both of your sons' names, but if you have no connection to it, that's what matters!

Celia
Amelia
Cora

Genevieve: I love the name Genevieve, and think it works beautifully with the romantic Tristan and more more classic Nathaniel. I love the Evie nickname.

Annabelle
Camille
Cora
Eliza
Eleanor
Esme
Flora
Georgia
Helena
Juliet/Juliette
Louisa
Lydia
Mirabelle
Miranda
Marielle
Phoebe
Rosalie
Simone

Lola: Like you said, it's very similar in sound to Layla, but I'm not sure how often you see your niece. I can picture Lola with Tristan, but not as much with Nathaniel. Have you thought about using Lola as a nickname?

I can see Lola as a nickname for:

Louisa
Penelope
Eloise
Elodie

Lucy Viola (take the L and the ola to get Lola...any L name works...)
