would like to know peoples opinions on the name Eira and any middle names that would go with it.
My really like this name and my fiancé is liking it too its different not too unusual and not too popular!

How do you pronounce it?

At first glance I would guess either eye-rah like the man's name Ira, or Ear-ah - like the Scottish girls name Keira?

I think Eira is a beautiful name!
Pronounced AY-rah, right? Like Ira.
It's a Welsh name that means 'snow' but also a Norse name that means 'healing'!!
I think it's really a lovely name that won't stand out too much while still not being one of many, perfect in my opinion!!

I think it would be Air-a cos Ireland is called eire sometimes which is pronounced the same:)

Oh i just looked it up there on nameberry and it prounounced I-ra or AY-ra. Means snow what a lovely name idea it would be for a christmas babe.
