Which one do you like better?

My all time name love has been Jane. Its the name of my favorite author and character, Jane Austen and Jane Bennet. But I also like Finola. Its uncommon and Irish (I'm part Irish) and its just so pretty. I am torn.
Which one do you like better?
Thanks in advance!

You could have both
Jane Finola
Finola Jane
How do you pronounce Finola? Cause some Irish names have strange pronounciations.
Is it just Fi-no-la or fee-no-la?

That's ok actually. Not hard to say but stands out.
I'd want to shorten it to
Finn but I shorten everything.
Finola Jane sounds quite nice. Unless you had 2 daughters, in which case problem solved. Although Jane could sound a little ordinary next to Finola.

I much prefer Jane over Finola. Jane is such a lovely, simple name while I'm getting a completely different vibe from Finola. Good luck:)

I agree with other posters - although Finola is pretty, Jane is special (and it has a lot of meaning for you). I think having it as a middle name would tick all the boxes, since your daughter would have something unusual and a bit more "flowery" as her second name to balance out the classic and simple beauty of Jane.
There's one Jane that always sticks in my mind from my experience. She was at university with me. She was studying fine art, and had huge green eyes and a sort of pixie haircut with dark hair - absolutely stunning. I remember that when I met her, the fact that her name was so classic almost made it stand out more. I have a friend called Anne whose name has the same effect. Those examples really showed me how a classic name can shine through, especially one that's gone out of common use.

I love Jane more than I do Finola, but I think Finola is a lovely name. I love the Fionola Jane suggestion!
Take care! :-)
