Starting from square one...

So DH and I were talking about names (once again), and he said that he didn't really like Zara. Ok...more accurately, he scrunched up his nose and didn't say anything - which translates very clearly. I am at my wit's end with coming up with names that I think we'll both like. We've been through many of the "typical" nameberry names, and he doesn't like any of them. Below are our two lists of favorites. Can you come up with any new ideas for me to suggest to him? Thank you!!!

His:
Erin
Shae
Shannon
Jane
Jennifer

Hers:
Zara
Clementine
Cosette
Vianne
Vala

Ones we agree on, but aren't wild about:
Rachel
Amelie
Elinor
Siri
Lauren

Re: Starting from square one...

what about chaya or shaya with jane as a middle name?

Re: Starting from square one...

i think he likes irish names and you like unusual names. maybe an unusual irish name such as:

Aine (pronunced AnYA, can also be spelled Anya)
Fiona
Niamh (Neeve, i've seen it spelled like this too)
Siobhan (ShaVON, could spell it Shavonne)
Dempsey
Aisling
Callaghan
Tierney

hope this helps!

Re: Starting from square one...

Jane Clementine just jumps out at me. You can't go wrong with this combo.

Re: Starting from square one...

Thank you for the suggestions so far! I will see what his take on them are.

For Chaya/Shaya:
Are those pronounced Chay-ah/Shay-ah or Chai-ah/Shy-ah (like Chai tea or a shy person)? The only problem I could see running into is we have a niece called Maya who is very close in age to our children, so the names might rhyme. If not, I'll suggest these to him! Thank you!
