His list, My list, Our list

To update all you nameberries on my little (now 5 month old) nameless one, we have a concrete plan, in part because of your suggestions. We are moving slowly to keep the stress level down and to be thoughtful about it.
We made a list together of the names that we could both live with. We also have individual lists of names that didn't make the cut. We're going to rank our agreed upon list and pick either the clear winner or draw from them if there is a tie.
I was wondering, if you have time on your hands, if you might look over out lists- both the names we CAN agree on and the ones we CAN'T and see if there are any compromise names you can think of between his loves and mine. Otherwise, I just thought you might be interested in where things were at.
Our list:
Blythe
Thea
Ivy
Lark
Coral
Juno
Juniper
Juliet
Azure
Lavendar
Delphi
Carys
Now, the names we could not agree on- is there a compromise here? I realize that I've never really articulated to you all what names DH does like.
My list:
Beth (I adore Beth. Simply adore it. It was the name of my father's deceased twin sister, but it is probably DH's least fav. name. So. Sad.)
Elisabeth (in any form)
Margaret nn Mags (also family)
Willoughby (one of you suggested this, and now I'm loving it. so very much!)
Luna
Aster
Astra
Elma
Aurora
Zeta
Bryony
Felicity
Nora
Laurel
Eden
Waverly
Gwyneth
DH's list (he didn't make a formal list, I'm just trying to remember the ones he said he loves that I just can't get on board with)
Adelaide
Ava/Eva/Iva
Olivia
Cecelia
Daria
Nadia
Isadora
Sophia
Simone
Tierney
Daphne
Phoebe
Annelise
Elise
Annabel
Siobhan
Lydia
Now, we don't NEED more names. Obviously. But, looking at both our lists of names that didn't make the cut- is there a compromise name I'm missing? I can't figure out why we agree on some of the ones we do, but don't on others. All the names on our okay list are just, well, okay because they are all slightly tinged with almost a year of batting them around (for example, I hear Lark and I remember all the negative things he's said about it and me for liking it and he hears Thea and has the same reaction), so, if there was a name we haven't come upon before, that'd probably be the best.
TIA
*edited to add more names on our individual lists, in case that helps

First I have grouped some names from your lists, then later I provided some possible compromise names.
Names that have a sweet, vintage feel: Ivy, Coral, Juliet, Lavender, Beth, Elizabeth, Margaret, Aurora, Felicity, Nora, Adelaide, Olivia, Cecelia, Annelise, Annabel, Lydia, Elma, Sophia
Names that feel more modern: Blythe, Lark, Juno, Juniper, Azure, Delphi, Luna, Aster, Astra, Zeta, Eden
Names that make me think of gods, goddesses, or the heavens: Thea, Juno, Azure, Delphi, Luna, Aster, Astra, Aurora, Eden
Names that feel artistic and a little bit avant-garde: Azure, Delphi, Luna, Astra, Zeta, Isadora, Simone, Siobhan
Names that remind me of nature: Ivy, Lark, Coral, Azure, Lavender (though I hear the color before the flower), Willoughby, Luna, Aster, Astra, Elma, Aurora, Bryony, Laurel
Names that feel timeless and/or very classic: Blythe, Ivy, Juliet, Elizabeth, Margaret, Laurel, Ava, Eva, Olivia, Cecelia, Sophia, Daphne, Phoebe, Elise, Annabel, Lydia
Names that really would make me take notice (stand out from the crowd): Lark, Juno, Juniper, Azure, Lavender, Delphi, Luna, Astra, Eden
Some possible compromise names:
Sylvia (means ‘of the forest’; nn Sylvie) – reminds me a lot of Sophia and Simone but has a nature meaning
Margot – variation on Margaret, but a lot more striking and artistic sounding
Willow – like Willoughby but more of a tree name, feels a little bit softer
Willodean – for a more old-fashioned variant to Willow
Anemone – Greek, nature, goddess/nymph name all in one; has the feel of a soft, sweet vintage name like Adelaide or Annabel
Olivine – jewel name that reminds me of Olivia
Wisteria – flower name that sounds sweetly old-fashioned
Arcadia – old-fashioned name with a meaning similar to ‘Eden’
Zaria – a cross btw Daria and Zeta
Cynthia – more classic, goddess version of ‘Luna’
Alisa – instead of Elise
Lilias == somewhat like Aster, another flower name (lily), also reminds me of Elise
Annabeth – you get your Beth in there
Thalia – like Thea but also a nature name ‘blooming’

Apologies if you have already considered and rejected this one but... how about Elspeth? He like Elise, and you love Beth - maybe this could be a compromise. It still has the 'feel' and sound of Beth. I actually think that Elspeth is a lovely name.

Aurora + Annabel == Oriana
Aurora + Ava == Alba
Oriana and Alba are other names that means 'dawn'.
Also Sahar -- Arabic name meaning dawn.
Also Iola -- means violet-colored dawn, according to one source I found.
Also, in my previous post, forgot to mention that Zaria is a Slavic name meaning "morning star" or "sunrise." In mythology, this is the name of a goddess of morning. (See 'Zarya' (with a y) in Nameberry)

I think you have a clear plan and the ranking system is a great idea. All your names are wonderful. I could see why Lark and Thea are tainted so i think going with a less debated name like Coral would be a better compromise. Good luck!

How about Magalie as a compromise name for margaret nn Mag?

unicorngal wrote:How about Magalie as a compromise name for margaret nn Mag?
Makes me also think of Magnolia. It's reminiscent of Margaret, is a flower/nature name, is sweetly old-fashioned.
Instead of Cecilia, how about:
Celia (possibly means ‘heavens’)
Instead of Azure, how about:
Cyane (another ‘blue’ name, the name of a Sicilian nymph who lived in a blue pool)
Indigo (has the really cool nn Indie)
Aura
Aqua
Skye
Instead of Aurora, how about:
Aurelia (means golden) (nn Aura ??)
Instead of Willoughby, how about:
Sequoia (which in addition to being a tree-name, actually means Sparrow)
Instead of Lavendar, how about
Sage (which also reminds me of Sophia because both names mean ‘wisdom’)
