June thoughts

Sorry guys. I am going to be playing with my girls names until they arrive in November! You have created a monster!! lol.

What do you think about June? As a first name. Do you think that this will be a new rising star?

I just had the thought of June Adelaide. Well I had a lot of June thoughts. but my babies will be born in November. That would be weird to name one June? Even though the only June I know, was born in July.

Here are my June thoughts:

June Adelaide
June Lavender - what can I say... its my guilty pleasure name. :-P
June Emmeline
June Eloise
June Annelise

Then I had some Ruby thoughts:

Ruby Matilda
Ruby Adelaide
Ruby Emmeline

and then the ultimate June and Ruby thought:
Ruby June

I know this might be horrible but I only voted for two. Matilda Adelaide and Eloise Charlotte. They really do seem perfect with Dorothy Violet.

Instead of June Lavender what about Lavender June? What nn's would work with Lavender?

lol. Do not feel horrible about that. Did you think that the others are just awful? or that those two are just that good? I love the name June. and Ruby. And I hate to think that I will not ever be able to use them. And that 2 of the 4 names came out of left field and I would have never even considered until last month. Does that make any sense?

You make complete sense. I have a tendency with all things to find every option imaginable but end up going with my first instincts anyway. No rock unturned so to speak.

Matilda Ruby and Adelaide June would be my 2nd and 3rd choices. Actually I'll go vote for them now so they can be tallied too :)

I love Ruby! I love Juniper (nn June) more than I love just June . I don't know if that helps, that's just my personal preference

I do believe June is going to become a new favorite (at least with the old lady crowd of Dorothy, Matilda, etc...) but personally it's not one of my favorite names... it just doesn't seem to have much personality to me. I can't picture a June very well the way I can picture the good, the bad and unexpected in others. Even the ones I dislike as a name I can picture better ON a little girl more easily. I'm not sure why that is...

I personally LOVE the name June. Maybe it is because my beloved great aunt was named Dixie June... but was called Junie her whole life (which I think is a darling nickname)... in fact, very few people called her Dixie. June Adelaide is my favorite with June as a first name.

My votes:
Matilda Adelaide and Eloise Charlotte - I personally don't like June or Ruby or any of the others more than these. But if you want to expand, I also voted for:
June Adelaide
Adelaide June - but I prefer June up front where it is not such a filler name, sort of like Rose.

Please don't use Ruby!! No offense to those who may like it, but I just don't see the appeal when compared to Matilda, Adelaide, Eloise, Charlotte, even June seems more in that class than with Ruby. Ruby to me is too cutesy and unsubstantial.

I like Lavendar, especially in the middle but not with June. For some reason when paired it makes each of the names too word-y like talking about a Lavendar plant that blooms in June or something. Separately their word associations aren't that strong but together it's too much, imo.

With Dorothy Violet, I think a Lavendar middle would be adorable! You'd have to think of a third though. Maybe Plum, Lilac? Is it a little too silly or theme-y? Dorothy Violet, Matilda Plum and Eloise Lavendar? It's hard to resist but I can see how it may be too much for real life.

I have never been a fan of June...a girl I knew when I was younger completely ruined it for me. Besides that, I don't think it has a very pretty sound, esp. next to Eloise, Matilda, etc. (SUCH gorgeous choices, btw).
I agree with disa that Juniper is a better choice if you're set on using June somewhere (but I implore you to stick with what you've got. I can't get over the sibset with Dorothy.)

I voted for Eloise Charlotte, June Annelise, and Ruby Emmeline (my favorite out of all your names, this is just a beautiful combo!)
