Hi, We live in Australia and are having our Second daughter any day now and need help with our names! Our first daughter is called Tia Rose and her full name gets used alot, i really like feminine names and have always pictured the girls having floral middle names. I also like more unusual first names. Please vote for a name and any suggestions are much appreciated!!

Other names i like but can not use- Sienna, Layla and Lalita.

Re: Sister for Tia Rose (please Help!)

Lila Blossom would be my pick. I think Lila goes the best with Tia and as a whole combo it works best.

Poppy Bell isn't great for flow, and although Poppy is adorable, it doesn't have the same weight on its own as the other two.

With Scarlett Honey, both names are nice, but not so much together. The styles clash somewhat with Scarlett as fiesty go-getter and Honey a soft girly name. I also take the two word names more literally here and get an image of blood-red honey :/

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I am set on the 3 first names but want to mix and match the middles to get the perfect name.
I Like Lila Belle and Scarlett Belle.
I also really Love Maya June (but my brothers girlfriends name is Maya.)
Some other suggestions i will run past the Hubby!

Re: Sister for Tia Rose (please Help!)

I love the name Tia Rose. It is very classic. The three names you are proposing for daughter #2 don't strike me as being quite as classic & classy, so for this reason I don't like them as well. They are cute, though!

A few thoughts on your name choices:

Poppy - adorable if you are thinking about the flower, not so adorable if you hear it as an alternative to grampa/grampop. Another flower name that is cute & has the same feel, I think, (but without the problems of Poppy) is Tansy. Poppy would be good for a middle name but not as a 1st name. But that's just my opinion, of course.

Lila - pretty. Similar to Lily, though. Not a problem, but Lily & its variations are v. popular names (in the US, don't know about Australia)

Scarlett - pretty. But I agree with previous poster that this does not pair well with Honey. Gives a strange image.

Bell - Belle & Bella would also be alternatives. If you want floral, Bluebell is the name of a flower, I think. Also Snowbell?? I also love Mabel (alt spellings include Maebelle, Maybell, etc).

Blossom - cute but sounds very much like a hippie name. No problem with that if that is the image you are aiming to project. Flora, Fleur & Bonnie have similar meanings but would project more traditional images.

Honey -- to me this is a term of endearment. I can't help it, but "honey" is what I call my husband. So I don't like it as a proper name. Alternatives (that sound more like solid names to me) include: Cherie, Carmel, Aimee (Amy), Candy (more of nn than a true name to me), Fairy, Fawn

Some combos I like using your 6 name choices are:

Lila Bell(e)
Scarlett Poppy
Bella Poppy
Bella Blossom

Best of luck.

Re: Sister for Tia Rose (please Help!)

Lila Blossom - is sweet and my favorite from your combos.

Using the same first names -

Scarlett - I like the name Scarlett but when it's paired with a word name like Lily it sounds more like a description to me than a name. It's very poetic but I would use a non word name paired with Scarlett. Of course my favorite girls name is Ruby Lane sooooo, I'm a hypocrite :/

Lila - what about Lela pronounced leelah? I like Lela Belle.
Lila Poppy
Lila Belle
Lila Posey
Scarlett Nigella - Nigella damascena is a flower also known as Love-in-a-mist.
Scarlett Bella
Scarlett Bela - pronounced bay-uh means "white" or spelled Baila/Beyla means "dance".
Scarlett Viola
Scarlett Linnea
Scarlett Dahlia
Poppy Linnea
Poppy Zera - Zera means "seeds, new beginnings"

Re: Sister for Tia Rose (please Help!)

Thanks again for suggestions.
I really love Poppy but have the same worry about it also meaning grandpa. Lila in australia isnt very popular at all (where as Sienna, Ava, Ruby, Amelia and Layla are all in the top 20, why I dont want to use them).

Out of
Scarlett Bella
Scarlett Belle
Scarlett Poppy
Lila Belle
Lila Blossom
Poppy Belle
Meela Belle

What sounds the best ? Oh I am finding this so difficult !
