Help! feminine name with a unisex nn??
by justjen on Wed Sep 30, 2009 12:49 am
I really love the nn Charlie for a little girl, but would like a full name that is more feminine. I like Charlene but not in love with it. Any suggestions? Is there any names I have overlooked? I am open to other suggestions, but want to stick with a name that has a unisex nn. I am also not interested in anything too popular. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I really love Dot's Mom's suggestion of Charlotte for Caroline.
I know that somewhere there's a long thread featuring boyish nicknames for feminine names, but I haven't been able to located it. (I'm so sorry! I'm sure that someone will be able to dig it up!)
In the meantime, you may also like:

Good luck! :-)

Charisse - derived from Charis, Greek, "grace"
Charis is ok itself, not sure how to say it. I went to junior high with a Charisse. She wasn't called Charlie, but another one may.

It's so funny I didn't even think of Jessie. That's my grandmothers name. It must feel more like a girls name to me now. :)
