Dea -- I prefer Diana or Deanna
Eliana -- I prefer the simpler Ana or Anna or Ellen.
Elena -- this name seems overused to me, how about Elise or Helena or Alisa?
Giada -- never heard of this name. I might think it was a "made-up" name.
Gioia -- I am not familiar with this name, but I think the name Joy is sweet. Same sound?
Laila -- nice
Lea (pronounced Lay-ah) -- I prefer other spellings, like Leah, Laia
Letizia -- I prefer the spelling Leticia, like Lettie as nn
Liala -- Again, I prefer Leah (or Viola?)
Lucrezia -- don't like the z spelling, prefer Lucretia. How about Cornelia?
Maia -- I like this name a lot.
Martina -- I don't like the name Martin, so I don't like the feminine form, either.
Oriana -- reminds me of the name of a constellation, Orion
Renata -- cute, love the association with the fox
Serena -- projects a very calm feeling
Simona -- I prefer Simone, and the association with Simone de Beauvoir
Sofia -- Lovely name
Talia -- nice
Thanks!

abc123 wrote:Arianna -- I love Arianna. It sounds strong but feminine.
Dea -- Seems like a nickname for Deanna. It's a bit boring.
Eliana -- Delicate and a little obscure. Your daughter will be forced to spell her name out loud for people a lot.
Elena - A little prissy. Kind of a church lady name.
Giada -- I think this name is elegant and different, but not too different.
Gioia -- Like the poet laureate turned head of the NEA, Dana Gioia? Hmm, not sure I'm feeling it.
Laila -- Lovely. A tiny bit on the popular side, but I don't think it matters.
Lea (pronounced Lay-ah) -- Sounds like a huge pain to explain all your life that your mom can't spell Leia and that you're not named after a Star Wars character (or that you are).
Letizia -- Sounds African American, but there's nothing wrong with that. I kind of like it.
Liala -- Not sure I know how to say this.
Lucrezia -- Knew a girl with this name in grade school and was always jealous. It sounds sophisticated and goddess-like.
Maia -- Cute. I prefer the Maya spelling personally because I adore Maya Lin.
Martina -- Like McBride? Only if you intend the connection and like Country Music. You might, but just saying in case you don't.
Oriana -- Lovely.
Renata -- I don't like how this sounds. Kind of harsh to my ear.
Serena -- I like this name too. Reminds me of the Spanish song "La Mar Estaba Serena." Is there a Spanish pop star with this name?
Simona -- I'm going to have to go with the other poster here and say I like Simone for the Buvouir connection.
Sofia -- Way way too popular at the moment.
Talia
