Nickname for William

DH and I just found out that we are expecting. We are already considering names. One boy name that we both like is William. Any ideas for some nicknames beyond will/y or bill/y? Thanks.

How about Liam, the Gaelic form of William? Very handsome name or nickname.

Liam is my favourite William nickname.

Wills, Willem

If you're moving beyond Wills and Bills, you gotta go with Liam ... which is great but pretty popular right now.

Definitely Liam if you want to move past popular Will. I know Liam is also popular, but right now it seems like every boy I meet is named Will, Drew, Jack, etc. I love Liam!

I have to concur - Liam is great.

I love Liam. Will is okay, but it's not my favorite.
I think Liam is such a wonderful nickname, and will definitely set him apart from the other William's/Will's/Willy's. I despise the nickname Billy. It's a long story so I won't even try to explain it.

I like Liam as others have mentioned but I do like Will too. Not willy and definitely not bill or billy. But Will is a nice, strong nickname imo.

I love Will, too. William is so handsome on its own as well.
