Advice on first name-last name transition

I am 4 wks from due date and we opted to not find out the sex but still can't decide on a boy name.
My favorite boy name is Chase but our last name starts with the Schn- sound. Should this eliminate the name due to the transition of 's' sounds?
Others we like (less so) are Beckett, Blake, Landon.
Thoughts?

Re: Advice on first name-last name transition

There are quite a few names that I love which simply will not flow well with my last name, no matter how much I wish they did. If the first and last name don't sound good together or are too difficult to clearly say together, then let the name go, even if you absolutely love it. OR find a nickname that works better for introductions/everyday existence.

Re: Advice on first name-last name transition

That's what I was thinking too. My husband doesn't seem to think its a problem since his name is Thomas. But as you suggested at the end, he is always called Tom so he uses Tom for introductions.

Re: Advice on first name-last name transition

I love Landon and am guessing it would sound better with your last name. Any mn ideas yet?

For the middle name, we're simply going to go with Thomas.

Any suggestions for boy's names with Thomas as a middle name?

Re: Advice on first name-last name transition

_____ Thomas Schn:

If your last name has two syllables, I think a longer first name sounds great, because it prevents every name from having two syllables:

Anderson Thomas
Benjamin Thomas
Finnian Thomas (nn Finn)
Gabriel Thomas
Finnegan Thomas
Harrison Thomas
Julian Thomas
Jameson Thomas
Maxfield Thomas
Montgomery Thomas
Nathaniel Thomas
Samuel Thomas
Sullivan Thomas (nn Sully or Van)
William Thomas
Xavier Thomas

I think these sound great with a shorter last name, too, such as Brown.

If your last name is longer than two syllables:

Blake Thomas
Calvin Thomas
Declan Thomas
Hudson Thomas (not the best flow...)
Jude Thomas
Luke Thomas
Quinlan Thomas
Reed Thomas

I love Beckett, but because it ends in a T and Thomas begins with one, the Ts cancel each other out.

Good luck! :-)
