Eep, we're stuck on Boy Names!

Can you suggest something that is rugged and masculine? Daddy wants a "tough guy" name, lol. Our 2 year old daughter is Kiana. If baby is a girl then we like Katya, Lorelei, Delilah, Anya, and Natasha, just to name a few so you can see our style.

Some of his favorites: Griffin, Xander, and Conrad.

Some of my favorites: Marek, Silas, and Killian.

Middle name will definately be Paul. It's best if the names don't end in "n" or "s" because last same is similar to Norris.

Any suggestions? Thanks!!

With Paul in the middle and a last name with two syllables, I think that longer first names (at least three syllables) sound great!

Alexander Paul Norris (nn Xander, for your husband)
Everett Paul Norris (Everett reminds me of Mt. Everest and evergreen trees, so it feels rugged to me...not the best with Kiana, though)
Maxfield Paul Norris
Rafferty Paul Norris
Xavier Paul Norris

I never realized how many names end with N and S! :-)

Good luck!:-)

Re: Eep, we're stuck on Boy Names!

Out of what you two have so far, I like Silas and Griffin, though they both have the 's' and 'n' problem you're trying to avoid. How about:

Wyatt Paul
William Paul
Michael Paul
Matteo Paul
Jeremy Paul
Tobiah Paul
David Paul
Abbott Paul
Daniel Paul
Everett Paul
Judah Paul
Jacoby Paul
Beckett Paul
Isaac Paul
Josiah Paul
Oscar Paul

Re: Eep, we're stuck on Boy Names!

Thanks everyone!

I really like Everett, Judah (prefer Jude), Matteo, Isaac, DH doesn't :( Also Jacoby and Rafferty are some of my absolute favorite names ever (especially Jacoby, I'm so in love with it lol), but they got nixed but DH long ago.

Also thanks for the girls suggestions, we really need help there too. I like Briony, Novalie, and Lola... DH doesn't like any of them. He loves Alexis (I don't). We both love Savannah but would never use it because of its popularity.

Thanks again and keep the suggestions coming! DH is being impossible. Now I know why it takes nine months to grow a baby, it takes that long to find a name!!!

Re: Eep, we're stuck on Boy Names!

Kiana and...

Arabella
Aurelia
Aveline
Aria (a bit similar to Kiana, though)
Dahlia
Evelina
Gemma
Jessamine
Lorelei
Nerissa
Paloma (nn Lola)
Raphaela
Simona
Seraphina
Talia
Zara

My apologies for repeats! :-)

Good luck!

Re: Eep, we're stuck on Boy Names!

I love silas and killian. I think Silas is manly but my partner laughed so i guess men feel differently about Silas. OMG Alexis!!! Your hubby is hard to work with if thats his top choice, I love briony with ur daughters name.

Re: Eep, we're stuck on Boy Names!

I like a lot of the names on the hot list here "Boys names dads like more than moms". They tend to be very masculine names. They might be a little to masculine or out-there for you. I'm not even saying I would name my own child these names! But I figured I would suggest them.

Ace
Austin
Axel
Gunner
Jack
Jagger
Jett
Rocco
Slade (but I would change to Slate)

Flint (from the Military Names list)
