I'm your huckleberry...
Not currently expecting, but can't help thinking about names! My husband and I had an impossible time agreeing on boys' names last year, and luckily we ended up with a little girl to save us from having to compromise.
As a brother for Ivy Coraline, what do you think of:
Hugh Commodore K******* nn. Huck
How do you feel about Huck as a nickname? We're from Missouri and love us some Mark Twain, but can't see actually naming a kid Huckleberry. Also, I like the idea of having a totally viable first name to use as an adult if he "outgrows" Huck.
Any other names starting with Hu? Hugo? Hunter? Commodore is a long time family name, so I'd love to use it. Thinking maybe I can convince DH if he'd have a cool nn.
Thanks!!!

My favorite "Hu" name is Hugo. I think Huck is fine as a nn. I think any "H" name would work because his initials are still HCK.
Other "Hu" suggestions:
Hubert
Hudson
Humphrey
Huntley
Huxley or Hucksley or Huckley
Other "H" names:
Hamilton
Harris
Harrison
Harvey
Hawthorne
Hayden
Heath
Henrik
Henry
Hewitt
Hezekiah
Holden
Hollis
Hooper
HoratioRecent Additions To My Long List:
Roxana (Roxy), Ottilia, Zelda, Sonja/Sonya/Sonia, Perry, Lisera (lih-SAIR-uh)
Glenn, Eugene (Gene), Harlen, Ignatius

How about Huxley, I love that with the nickname Huck/Hux (also can be spelt pretty much any way: Huxly, Hucksley/Hucksly/Hucksleigh/Huxleigh) or Huckson/Huxon/Huckston/Houston (the -son names are still pretty big); Hucker, Huckerby, Huckley/Hockley/Hawkley (all surname names)
my favourites would be Huxley (love the X); Huckley, Hawkley and Huckson
good luck!

I'm not one to bounce names off of people that I actually know, because I don't want anyone other than DH to feel like they have a say in what the name ends up being! Interesting point about any "H" name working. I guess it's either
