    new novel

What kind of story do you picture with character names:

    Elmer J. Chadwick

    Sparrow Brown

    and

    Lexine "Lexi" Swanson

Also, what types of personalities do you think each character has? Just curious. I picture Elmer J. Chadwick to be British and very proper. 30 years old. Detective, or a lawyer. ... as an example.

I picture a detective story, with a mystery

With the name Elmer J Chadwick I actually pictured the example you gave.

With the name Sparrow Brown (since it's an unisex name I wasn't sure which gender. But I pictured a boy) I pictured a young man who just graduated university, probably in early his twenties. He is very determined, loves his job, very serious about his job, outside work he's a goofball, and protective of the ones he loves. He is very tall and lanky, with brown hair, freckles on his nose, and he has a southern accent. I picture him as Elmer J Chadewick's assistant.

With the name Lexine "Lexi" Swanson I picture a young woman ,who just graduated from university, in her early twenties. She has strawberry blond hair, fair skin, and pretty green eyes. She is very serious, very intelligent, very competitive, and loves to be right. I picture her as maybe Elmer J Chadwick's secretary or forensic analysist.

    Hope that helps!

That's real interesting! And yes, I am developing a detective story. The Lexi desciption is very helpful. In my mind, she does have blonde hair and green eyes so you are dead on with her looks.

Sparrow is a girl, but I enjoyed reading what you thought!

    Thank you so very much.

I think Elmer sounds like a London business man with a suit and briefcase. Sparrow is a homeless girl that is scruffy but has beautiful eyes. Lexi is the love interest. Maybe somehow Elmer finds out that he is the legal guardian of Sparrow but he doesn't like having to look after someone and all Sparrow does is cause trouble. Lexi is the social worker and the one that persuades Elmer to keep Sparrow. I think that there will be lots of trouble along the way and Lexi and Elmer fall in love. There will be a lot of delving into the past and I think that there was confusion and Elmer isn't really supposed to be looking after Sparrow but decides to keep her in the end.
    Sorry for rabbling

haha That's alright. I just like having insight on what type of story others will create if they had only the character's names. I like the idea of Lexi being the love interest. Though, I don't think I will have them end up with eachother at the end of the story. Dun dun dun!
