There are some truly lovely names on this thread! I will add the names I can remember off the top of my head:
grandmother -- Margaret Edith
great aunt -- Susan Electa (Electa is fascinating to me--it's a family name that is apparently of Greek and biblical origin meaning "chosen one".)
their mother -- Geraldine Edith
another great-grandmother was Doris Jane, I think. Her daughter is Barbara something.
Margaret will definitely be my first daughter's middle name (first name probably will be Hazel). Geraldine and Edith are growing on me, and I love Jane. However, I don't think I can ever warm up to Doris or Barbara... They are just not my flavor at all. Susan is okay--it's my mom's mn.
I may have to talk SO into using Electa...Last edited by danni; May 17th, 2012 at 10:42 AM.

I'm having a total mind blank on great grandma's names.. I think one of them was Mary though.
My grandmas are Patricia (can't remember middle name) and Barbara Joan. My fiance's grandma's names are Virginia and Magdelena (goes by Lena). My "third grandma" was Shirley (she's my uncle's mom, not related but was around a lot). I have great aunts named Mary, Marilyn, Thelma and Betty (Barbara's twin sister). Most of them are in their 70s except Lena who is 97.Top 10 girl's names: Serena * Audrey * Sienna * Bridget * Lucy * Hazel * Cordelia * Josephine * Claire * Alice
Top 10 boy's names: Elliott * Callum * Theodore * Emmett * Nolan * Ian * Blake * Brennan * Adrian * Everett
