ksheja - thanks for the input. I really like Arden (its on my list but I'm still not sold), Ariana (too popular) and Ariella/Arielle is too close to DH's little cousin's name. My problem with names that start with Ar, is that our last name's first syllable is Bar...... (pronounced like Bar) so a lot or names starting with Ar can be a mouthful, the right name sounds fine though. Ardis sounds the smoothest. Noelle (Noel) literally is Xmas in French so I can't do that, not crazy about the lie and lia endings either.

I think Millie is a cute nick name but I prefer it for Amelia

Never heard of Emerence but its kind of cool

I like Arianna not Arianne as much

Edmond nn Eddie - Like. Especially if its a family name.
Leopold nn Leo- When I was 16 I babysat for a little boy names Leopold and his bbsister Gwyneth. It has a soft spot in my heart forever.
Ozias nn Ozzie-okay
Tynan - Don't like at all.
Ambrose nn Ami -nms
Silas - too common for my taste but I do still really like the name.
Arlo nn Ari- Arlo, love. Ari, not so much for a boy.

GIRLS:
Ardis nn Ari- love
Gloria nn Glow- love love love. my favorite from you list.
Millicent nn Millie-okay
Arianne nn Ari- don't like this. too close to Arianna.
Fianna-okay
Annalee-love but I prefer the spelling Annelie or Annalie
Zinnia- I die. Beautiful
Azalea- see Zinnia.

Lumen nn Lou- Love. My second Fave.
