Isla and Emmett met when she was 23 and him, 18. Isla was in the process of finishing her teaching degree, and after years of being in the education system, was desperate for some spare money, so she took on a few shifts at a local bar. Emmett had a similar idea, although he left school at the age of 18. He always knew he wanted his own business, and believed he had the passion and drive to do so, however he knew this wouldn't be cheap. So as soon as he had finished school, he too started working long hours at the bar in order to save for his dream. This is where the two of them met, they immediately clicked, and made each others' working days pass so much faster. They quickly began dating, and within 6 months, they were engaged. Isla is now 25, and Emmett is 18. They have now been married for 6 months, and shortly after their marriage they purchased a loft in Boston, which is where they currently live. Isla is now working as a primary school teacher, and with the help of his parents, Emmett now owns a small bookshop/coffee shop.
