No, DH hates nn based on a shortened version of a name, so her nn will have nothing to do with her given name. For example, DD is Monkey and DS is Krakken.
I'm glad that everyone thinks that Morgana is not a name that new DD will hate. Makes me feel alot better about the fact that I'm leaning towards it.April ~~Wife since 12/26/2005

Everyone has their own taste & you have to go with what feels right to you & hubby. I voted for Meredith in your poll, I think because it feels more feminine to me. Personally I love the name Morgan for a boy, just not so crazy about Morgana. But if Morgana is what you both are feeling for baby girl, then go for it! At least she won't be one of a thousand Isabellas at school when she's older.

I absolutely love Morgana! It got my vote 100% in your poll. Meredith is nice, but I love Morgana so much more. Madelaine and Morgana fit perfectly together, imo, and I couldn't for the life of me understand why Meredith kept getting more votes! (I still can't, lol. Morgana Frances is stunning!) I do like that Morgana is reminiscent of King Arthur. I'm a writer, and the one project I took on with my sister, our lead character was Morgana, so I have very positive associations with the name. I love it. It's so striking and beautiful. I know someone else planning on using Morgana (Morgana Lily is her combo), so I think it's just great. Madelaine, Micah, and Morgana is utterly perfect imo! I would go for it.

I voted for Meredith, but I think both are fine choices. Sometimes a vote just helps you cement your opinion. I remember being a little girl, and unable to choose between pink or blue glasses.. my mom, the eye doctor and my brother voted blue and all that made me realize was that I really wanted pink! Sometimes things just work that way.
Morgana is a perfectly fine name and if it's what you and your DH really want, then go for it.
