Thread: blonde haired Adriana?
May 13th, 2012 01:35 PM #6
I don't really like Adriana on non-dark haired people, especially cause one of the meanings is "dark, rich".
That's not to say it can't be used on them, but I think it's a total disconnect personally.
I think Ariana is perfect for a blonde, blue eyed baby, or even Aria.
But if you love the name, use it.Laurel - 2O - Aries - Slytherin - University of Toronto

I think the skin tone, hair color or eye color doesn't matter at all. Adriana is a beautiful name- one of my favorites, actually. And Adri is a really cute nn, by the way!| Arabella Monet | Henrietta Plum | Isolde Noor | Agatha Ruby | Marian Primrose |

I think Adriana could definitely work on a child of that description. I think it's lovely. I have similar thoughts in picking names because we could honestly end up with children that have dark brown, light brown, blonde, or red hair. Genetics are funny. Most names I see as working on all but for whatever reason certain names bring to mind certain images. Anyway, as I said, I think it could work really well, but it's always ok to go in with a backup name and see which one you think fits best when she's actually born.Switching careers and becoming an RN! Sadly mommy plans will have to wait until that's done. Still loving names though!

I know that babies coloring can change as they get older but I would wait and see until the baby comes. Even in my family one of my brothers is blonde and the rest of us all have very dark brown hair so if you do have another daughter she could look totally different from your daughter now!

Thanks I feel a little better about it now I thought of that too with the meaning being "dark or rich" but other places say the meaning is "exotic". Our daughters name seems to have a different meaning everywhere I look it up.
