30w preg. still no name for a girl..have a boy named Cael William

I am starting to feel that we are getting closer to this baby coming without having a name. We have a boy named Cael at home. We have a niece with nn "El," so can't do any Ella, Ellie, Etc.

I really need some girl name ideas that are somewhat unique like Cael, but not too different or wierd :-)

    Some things I like:

Callie - decided this is WAY to close to Cael, so won't be using it.
Cambrie - can't decide if I like, and have been hearing a lot of negative feedback from naming sites.
Maia (Mya) - don't know about spelling, and slightly more common than i'd like?
Avery - just added this one to my list

Middle name will most likely be Kalynn (not sure how to spell this, don't want too many "Y's", but it will be a comination of both Grandma's: "Kay" & "Lynn"

*Husband would rather not use all the same letters for each child "C", but if its something we both like then he said he would be ok with it.

PLEASE HELP me find more girls names!!!!!

I absolutely love the name Christmas. It's unique and unfortunately it wouldn't work for the family I'm building but I think it'll work for yours. Hope it isn't TOO out there for u

Starting off with your middle name a traditional Irish spelling of Kay and Lynn would be Cailin - similar to Caitlin but minus the t! I really like that version rather than Kalynn but then I'm not a big fan of K names in general, something about them shouts trendy at me wheras C names seem rather more sophisticated. Also that way you can have a C name but use it in the middle instead which is much less 'matchy'

    First name ideas

Callie - pretty, very sweet but I agree very close to your sons name. Would make a cute nn if you borrowed from her middle name Kalynn/Cailin
Cambrie - not sure how to pronounce this?
Maia - Also pretty, various ways to spell it though
Avery - I'm not a fan of many of these kinds of names as they sound made up to me, perhaps also because they are becoming more popular. Sounds like somewhere a bird lives?

other ideas for you based on what you already like

    Mara
    Maria
    Milana
    Marina
    Maya
    Eva
    Evie
    Chiara (kee-ah-rah)

Are there any other names you like? Trying to think of ones you might but not a lot to go on

Since I know a Kaly "cal-ee", Kalynn looks like "cal-lyn" to me. Kaelyn, Kailynn, Kaylen are options

Callie- Because of brother's name and the mn, I think Cal- names are out
Cambrie- Sounds incomplete, what about Cambria? Camilla, Clara, Carys, Cassia, Bree, Bria, Britta, Brielle, Brenna/Brynna
Maia- Maebry/Mabry, Malia, Minka, Mina/Meena, Mari, Maren, Marissa, Marta
Ava- Ada/Adah, Abra/Aubra, Audra, Adaire, Ayla, Asha, Alda, Alva, Alma, Anya, Ardis, Arden, Aria/Arya

Kalynn looks like "cal-lyn" to me, too. I have a friend who spells her name Kaylin. I think it's cleanest (not too many Ys!) and most straightforward.

I think Cael and Avery or Cael and Maia (I'd probably go with Maya, though) are best together. Between the two, I prefer Maya because Avery sounds a little more masculine than Cael to me. Both of those girl names sound nice with Kaylin, though! Since her brother's name and her middle name already start with a hard K sounds, I'd probably steer away from C and K names. Here are a couple other ideas that sound great with Cael:

    Aubrey Kaylin
    Dahlia Kaylin
    Stella Kaylin
    Gemma Kaylin
    Juniper Kaylin
Mila Kaylin - maybe less popular than Maia/Maya? Cael and Mila are sweet.
    Embry Kaylin
Amari Kaylin - little similar to Avery and Maya?
    Juno Kaylin
Amalia Kaylin - has some of the same sounds as Maya
    River Kaylin
    Harper Kaylin
    Maret/Marit Kaylin

How about Cameo? Like the jewelery. I think it just might fit your style!
    Cameo Jade
    Cameo Pearl
    Cameo Paige
    Cameo Belle

    Congrats and good luck!

If you're going for more unique names, maybe you can consider:

    Allegra
    Indiana
    Thea
    Bryn

And on the spelling for your chosen middle name, I like Kaylin. It has one Y and doesn't have any double N's, which I think are just an extension of a name that doesn't really require it.

    Nessa
    Neve
    Nora

    Non-Irish:

Thanks Everyone! This post has really given me a lot more options to choose from. I really appreciate all of the comments :-) This is such a great site, and I really enjoy getting opinions from others!

I am loving the spelling Kaylin, because I always thought putting 2 N's was too much, and I really did not want 2 Y's.

I've also found a lot of first names from this thread that I really love. Thank you so much, it is greatly appreciated!
