Need new suggestions
Just looking for some new suggestions. All names I love have something wrong with them, usually too similar to my other children's names or don't work with surname. So I'll give you a list of names I love and can you suggest some things you might think I would like based on them.
Alba - top choice but too similar to DD's name, will probably be a middle name
Wren
Iris
Maeve
Tamsin
Juna
Azure
Juno
Ione
Lumi - will probably be the Finnish second middle name
Delphi
Chrysanth
Eira
Eirlys
Mara
Rowan
Rona
I like unusual names, but DP doesn't want it too out there or open to teasing. Also like nature, Celtic and Scandinavian names, but am welcome to other suggestions. Prefer non-frilly, non-biblical and non-traditional.
Thanks in advance.Mum to Mousie, Foo and Bumptious.

[QUOTE=malk;1444938]Just looking for some new suggestions. All names I love have something wrong with them, usually too similar to my other children's names or don't work with surname. So I'll give you a list of names I love and can you suggest some things you might think I would like based on them.
Alba - top choice but too similar to DD's name, will probably be a middle name
Wren I think Wren is going to end up being a really trendy name that will be here today and gone tomorrow. What about another bird name namely Robin? She has been around for a long time and yet because she hasn't been seen lately seems fresh again.
Iris A flower name and it is nice enough although I like Isla a lot more but it may be too frilly for you in which case I think Imogen with the middle name of Kate makes a smart, non frilly combo without compromising it at all, this is a favourite of mine.
Maeve She is lovely and I think she will be around for a while I always see her with a Gwendolyn both sweet names.
TamsinIf you can get over the possible nn of Tammy then it is a good choice and less frilly than Tamara
JunaNot a fan at all of this one. I think Jane is a great alternative.
AzureThis doesn't inspire me although I love an azure blue sea (a view I see everyday) What about Alexa?
Juno No too much like junior I like Tessa and Harriet instead.
IoneI have to admit that my favourite old Greek name is now Xanthe since I have a beautiful golden haired gdaughter with this name, combo of Xanthe Paige
Lumi - will probably be the Finnish second middle name Good choice Anna Lumi
DelphiI prefer Delphine and Petra
Chrysanth no but give me the whimsical Bluebell instead
EiraThe old name for Ireland?
Eirlys Depending where you live it could be a first or middle I prefer Airlie
MaraI like Maren, Marissa and Marion more
RowanNice not stunning
RonaI prefer Rhoda and Ruth

Thanks,
Eira is Welsh for snow, but also connected to the Norse goddess Eir. It would work well in Finland, but not in West of Scotland where it is too close to Eire, the name for Ireland. DP is worried about the Catholic/Protestant problems that name brings up. sigh.
Isla is mega popular and I'm not crazy about it. I prefer Isola, but don't think I could sell DP. Imogen is too old fashioned for me.
I like Xanthe and almost had DP sold on it for a middle name last baby. Need to rethink that one.
Love Tess, not Tessa, and I have a cousin Tessa.
Don't like the name Tammy, so wouldn't use Tamara. Would use Sini or Sinikka as a nn for Tamsin, it's Finnish for blue. DP and I both like Tamsin, but he's not sold on it.
I don't like Robin and know a few here in Finland, odd. Prefer Lark, but have the same problem as one of the issues with Wren, one syllables. I really don't like saying them.
won't use Jane as it's MIL's name. and too plain for me. Same with Ruth.
DP likes Gwen and I kind of like Gwyneth, but not that fond of them.
Thanks, sorry I'm so picky.Mum to Mousie, Foo and Bumptious.

I know a Sari and an Indali and these are pretty names probably Indian they sound a bit hippie to me. You might like Miri too or Mirin (aka Helen Mirin).
I just looked up Finnish lakes and the third largest lake is named Inari. I think that makes a pretty girl's name, and it's easy to say. I have just read that Inari Saami is spoken in Northern Finland so not sure if Inari was a good suggestion but I like it. Goodie I have just found out that it is a Finnish girl's name. I would definitely consider it then if it was up to me.
There is the Russian/Slavic name of Lada I presume said as Lay dah which has the lovely meaning of goddess of beauty. Something like Sari Lada might fit.
(I keep think if it was a boy it would be easy we'd call him Finn).
or
Raina Lumi
Lena Fern
Then there is the Finnish girl's name Meri which means the sea. It is also an English, Welsh and Hebrew name but hasn't reached a ranking under the 1000 mark. It is also from the English and Welsh name Meredith and also from the name Mary.
You may like Margot Lumi or
Leonie
Nadine
Zelie
Ciel
Estelle
Aveline
Fenella
Ianthe
Thea
