Pretty and usuable, imo. You could also consider Orielle - almost the same name, but a little more removed from the little mermaid.

@Miloowen I like Ariel(le) Michal too

@Sarajoy I had a boss who always said my name in a Jamaican accent like SebastIan says it, because it was the only way she knew to say it correctly (R-E-Elle instead of Air-ee-elle).
Speaking as someone who has this name, I say go for it! I love my name. I feel like there are pros and cons to each spelling, too. Arielle I feel is more likely to get pronounced correctly and less likely to get compared to The Little Mermaid, but Ariel has the connections to the Bible, Shakespeare, and poetry (Sylvia Plath).Name-obsessed future veterinarian who currently only has babies of the feline variety (Sedona, Loki, Oliver, and Penelope). Enjoys doting upon her much younger cousins: Alexandra Michal, Jordan Liam, Evan Jacob, Rachel Mikayla, Aurora Estelle, and the newest addition Charlotte Ann (4/8/13).

@ariel_michal I love that you have this name & can give me input
Definitely leaning towards this name a lot more now that I know others find it beautiful and it's not as linked to the little mermaid as I thought.
Hurry up twins! <3

If you do use it, be prepared for pronunciation difficulties. My daughter is Arienne (which is more unusual, I know), but I always have to say "It's like saying the letters R-E-N" so people don't start it with "air". It's kind of annoying, and we certainly never anticipated that. Arielle's a beautiful name, though! I'm curious what the boy twin is going to be named.
Mom to Arienne Christina, Vienna Claire, and Clio Victoria!
