Name Overload!
I think I've spent too much time looking at and thinking about these names, and I'm at the point where I'm over analyzing everything. I find myself thinking things like, "Just how many l's are too many for one name?". So, I could use some opinions on which names work best together.
Some background on the names. In both my family and my husband's family, we have the tradition that the parents choose the first name and then use a name that has some sort of family connection as a middle name. Aliza has the same meaning as my son's name, so I thought that would be a nice connection between their names (This may be a product of over thinking the whole name thing though). Elisabeth/Elizabeth is the middle name of half the women in my family and several of the women in my husband's family. It's also one of the only names from his side that he likes. Eliza is my middle name. Sarai and Sarina are both versions of Sarah, another very common name in my family.
So, which of these names sound good together? Are there any that just flat-out don't work?
First Names
Eva
Isabel
Layla
Lucy
Mila
Middle Names
Aliza
Elisabeth or Elizabeth
Eliza
Sarai
Sarina

I think a lot of people know exactly what your talking about... I found myself counting syllables at 2am yesterday night..sitting in bed making sure I have a balance of syllables in each name, ridiculous I know!
Your lists are really nice. My favorite combo is Layla Elizabeth, I love Layla and Elizabeth would have to be the best middle name because it incorporates your hubby's favorite from his side and Eliza as well. I also like Isabel Eliza, it's really pretty
I don't really like Sarai or Sarina they don't really go with your first name choices except maybe Lucy, I think it's because most of the first names end in an AH sound and I personally don't like two names ending in the same sound.
None of them "flat-out don't work", judging by your lists you will have a beautifully named baby. And again, don't worry about the obsessing..it's normal, I think
All the best,

Being a good girl and using a first off your actual first name list, my favourite would be Isabel. To me, I wouldn't want to use another Elizabeth-based name with it, so that reduces your middle name choices, and I would go with Isabel Sarai.
Isabel is a lovely name. And it's my favourite spelling of Isabel/Isobel/Isabelle as well. And Sarai is beautiful and underused.
Being a li'l bit bad and only using your middle name list, which, sorry, I like better, I would use:
Elizabeth Sarai
Sarina Elizabeth
Being VERY bad, I make a list of names that are variations of yours that I really love:
Zara Elspeth - Zara is a variation of Sarah, Elspeth of Elizabeth. Zara & Sarai are my two favourite forms of Sarah and I can never decide.
Leila Elizabeth - I just love this spelling of Layla more. Takes the lay- out, and some of the Clapton as well.
Felicity Isabel - I just happen to have a weakness for Felicia/Felicity that Aliza can't touch.

Thanks for all the feedback so far! I've worried about making sure that the syllables sound ok in different combos, but I hadn't thought about one name ending with a vowel and the next name beginning with a vowel.
I wasn't very sure about or set on Aliza, and it seems like that middle name isn't one that pairs very well with the first names we've chosen.
@striped socks - I really like Zara and had suggested it as a first name. My husband likes names that are common or popular, and I've had a hard time getting him to be ok with anything outside the top 10 or 20 names.
